| Songs with the same beginning tunes I know this is sort of an odd question. And what I mean by same beginning tune: think Queen's "Under Pressure" and Vanilla Ice's "Ice Ice Baby" So uncannily similar, or they are the same. Same with Stevie Nicks "Edge of Seventeen" and Destiny Child's "Bootylicious". Are there anymore that you can think of? If so, please share __________________ Sarah Who is it that you really are? | |||

| Hey thanks. My friend also thought of two more. Backstreet Boys' "Drowning" and O-Town's "All or Nothing" and ACDC's "TNT" and The Darkness' "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" __________________ Sarah Who is it that you really are? | |||

| Well, the beginning of Guns n Roses' Sweet Child of Mine and Good Charlotte's Screamer don't sound exactly the same but they're really similar. __________________ | |||

| John Mayer's Victoria and Radiohead's Karma Police are purposely the same, they are both great songs. Definitely Backstreet Boy's Drowning sounds a lot like O-Town's All Or Nothing. I used to get pissed when I listened to the radio and they played Drowning because I love O-Town a lot, and I wanted to hear All or Nothing... The only other song I can think of is Fountains of Wayne's Stacy's Mom and The Car's Just What I Needed. It was funny because I was at my friend Dee's house and we were listening to a bunch of cd's, and she didn't know that The cars were in it. I joked to my friend Alex, saying "Stacy's Mom", and then when the words started, Dee was like "Hey, I thought we were listening to 'Stacy's Mom'". It was really funny...lol __________________ "This road will never end. It probably goes all around the world." - Mike Waters, My Own Private Idaho | |||

| My roommate always thinks that All-American Rejects "Swing Swing" sounds like Journey's "Anyway You Want It" but I don't hear it... __________________ If I could find you now things would get better, We could leave this town and run forever, Let your waves crash down on me and take me away. -Yellowcard- | |||

| How about Girl Look What You've Done by Jet and Imagine by John Lennon the bass riff of Are You Gonna Be My Girl by Jet and Lust for Life by Iggy Pop and Cold Hard Bitch (or whatever it's called) by Jet and the beginning of an AC/DC song (the title of which eludes me at the moment) __________________ | |||

Northstar is amazing. How about... "Yellow" by Coldplay and "The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot" by Brand New Jesse Lacey from Brand New has been known to sing a couple of lines from "Yellow" in lieu of the final "Call me a safe bet, I'm betting I'm not..." lines at the end of "The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot" live. I've seen him do it at least twice, hehe. And... "Soco Amaretto Lime" by Brand New and "...Slowdance on the Inside" by Taking Back Sunday Coincidence? Not likely. Aside from the guitar at the beginning, the lyrics to the first line of "...Slowdance on the Inside" also sound awfully familiar... "Passed out on the overpass, Sunday best and broken glass." -Brand New "Passed out in our school clothes, so we'd wake up in our Sunday's best..." -Taking Back Sunday I also like how both songs end with a chant of sorts. Drama, drama. Hehe. You're just jealous 'cause we're young and in love... ![]() __________________ i love you so much that it hurts my head. Last edited by Jenn23; 12-11-2004 at 05:33 AM. | |||

| jenn that's cool. Yellow and TBWBHOS do start out quite similiarly. I never noticed it before, but I did notice BN have a rather Coldplay-ish sounding guitar solo. Do you remember which words Jesse's used from Yellow? __________________ | |||

| I've seen him end the song with "Look at the stars, look how they shine for you and everything you do..." and "I wrote a song, I wrote a song for you and everything you do..." Another Brand New similarity that you don't hear so much at the beginning of the song, but during the guitar part that closes it out is "Good to Know If I Ever Need Attention All I Have to Do Is Die." The guitar part at the end sounds sort of like "Hotel California" by The Eagles. __________________ i love you so much that it hurts my head. | |||
