That is when you start to notice it -- when things that are common cultural memes to you are unknown to the younger generation. For me, one of the first ones was the old song "Big Ten Inch Record"; the generation after me never saw the old 78-RPM records, which means they don't know what the title refers to, which means they don't get the double entendre.

Do they really? Wow. I've got some vintage post cards from the 1950s. It's interesting to look at them now, especially the ones that were actually mailed, and you can see what people wrote on them.
