The 1st Schuyler Fisk Appreciation Thread



Schuyler's Biography:

The actress and singer-songwriter Schuyler Fisk is the daughter of Academy Award winning actress Sissy Spacek and production designer Jack Fisk, who met on the set of Brian De Palma's 1976 adaptation of Stephen King's Carrie (1976), which starred Spacek (Fisk was the art director on the film). Although she was born in Los Angeles, California, she was raised in Charlottesville, Virginia, where her parents established their home.

After acting in school plays, Fisk followed in the footsteps of her mother and became an actress. She is also a singer-songwriter, signed to Universal Records. Her song "Paperweight" was then featured on the soundtrack of the movie The Last Kiss (2006). Universal records plans to release her an album of her music in 2007. ETA: It's taken a while to get the cd done. Per Schuyler's recent MySpace Blog:

"okay, anywhooooo. i finally have a concrete plan for my record.....going in to record it this july/august (so soon! whoo hoo) and it should be out in the fall!!!! thank you all for your continued support through this LONG waiting game for my record. all i can say is i'm so sorry it's taken so long, but it was honestly out of my control!!! i appreciate your kind messages and comments like you have no idea!

i will be posting new songs from time to time on my page as well as video blogs from the studio!!!

also, have 2 new covers (duets) that i've recorded with 2 very special/amazing talents that i will be posting soon on my page for a FREE download...but only for a limited time, so stay tuned!!!!!!"

i just heard her sing in One Tree Hill once,but I didn't know she was a proper singer.
And I LOVED her in Orange County.

She also has a MySpace which is definitely her and up to date. She's such a sweetie and there's a rumor she's going to be touring with Josh Radin in the spring.

She's actually quite talented. I saw her in "Reed Fish" at Tribeca last April and she sang in the film. I was surprised how good she sounded. The entire cast was there and she mentioned her cd coming out this year.

Yes, she did sing on Paperweight. Josh put up a few dates, but i'm not sure if she'll be at every show. I'll wait for her list to come up.

Aww Crystal, i'm so jealous, in a good way. I really want to see that movie. Hopefully this year, it seems to be coming out in the theaters.

2nd chicago show added Radin/Fisk tour hey guys, just wanted to give you the heads up that since our chicago show sold out so quickly, we have added another show, that same night. it will be after the first show, doors opening at 9:30 for the second show. hope to see you all, schuyler

Also, on Josh's, he mentions that the Bowery performance is almost sold out. If you want them, make sure you get them quickly.
