| Rob Dougan Appreciation Thread #1: "...Because He's 'Not Driving Anymore'..." Rob Dougan Appreciation Thread ![]() ![]() BIO: Rob Dougan, also known as Rob D (born 1969 Sydney, Australia) is a genre-blending music composer. Mixing elements of orchestral music, trip hop, and bluesy vocals, his work is tangentially relatable to electronic music. He was known primarily for his breakthrough 1995 single "Clubbed to Death (Kurayamino variation)", popularized by 1999's The Matrix soundtrack. "Clubbed to Death" was released on his debut album Furious Angels in 2002, seven years after its initial release. Surely you guys have heard of Rob Dougan right? The "Trance" Artist best known for his song "Clubbed to Death (Kurayamino variation)" and "Furious Angels" from the first two films of The Matrix Trilogy? Anyways, if you haven't, you really got to give his CD Furious Angels a try. It is by far one of the best Multigenre CD's I've heard in a while. He's a fantastic musician and a brilliant composer (classicly trained I think), whose lyrics are as emotionally driven as they are disturbing in some instances. I can't believe the only Grammy Nomiation it ever got was "Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package." For shame. Anyways, are there any fans out there? __________________ Last edited by J.R.
