My copy has been sent out but I don't have it yet. And I'm getting it delivered to work but I won't be here tomorrow. Damnit! I might have to cave in and download it.

Has yours arrived yet?

oh yeah it has! i completely forgot to post again

i've only had the chance to listen to it once all the way through yet so i can't really say how i like it yet. there's a couple of really catchy tunes on there, but most of the chorus' are very repetitive... you'll see what i mean when you get your copy!

I saw a review in NME and they gave it 5/10 but they seem to be mean about everyone

the NME are like the devil incarnate! they never like anything decent... hence all the Arctic Monkeys and The Killers they always drool over. OK so it's not their best album but it's still better than 5/10

So I caved and downloaded it. My copy better be waiting for me at work tomorrow!

I'm liking it, although it'll take a few listens before I can properly say what I think. Maybe it's just because I'd heard them already but I love Silver Lining and Dreamworld the most still. Quite like Breaking Up and Under The Blacklight too and The Angels Hung Around.

Under The Blacklight was one that definitely stood out for me. I think I'll have another wee listen tonight, hopefully it's a grower

My CD was waiting for me at work I wish they had the lyrics in the sleeve notes though, kind of random but that sort of thing appeals to me

It definitely sounds like Jenny's solo album has had some influence on the sound of Under The Blacklight. I should listen to some of The Elected's stuff too.

I'm just loving having new RK songs to listen to

I was a bit miffed about the no lyrics thing too

I'm reassured that I'm not the only one who likes lyrics in the sleeve notes!

Which is your favourite RK album so far?

I've always been torn between 'Take Offs and Landings' and 'The Execution of All Things'. I still can't decide!

I have a friend who has a system for listening to new albums. First he listens to it all the way through, then with the lyrics in front of him, then without the lyrics again. I have no idea why he does this, or what he gains from it, but it's what he's always done

I like to learn lyrics quickly so I can sing along. I hate not knowing song words

I think 'The Execution of All Things' is my favourite although I do love 'Take Offs and Landings' a lot, and I like how mellow a lot of the songs on that album are. I really like More Adventurous too but not as much as the others.

My other half just makes words up as he goes along, it always makes me laugh! Also, I know someone who thought the line 'Phew for a minute there I lost myself' in Karma Police was actually 'Phew for a minute there I'm upside down'

That is one reason why lyrics on album sleeves are good!

My favourite RK song is 'The Execution of All Things'

Hey RK fans! I just wanted to stop by and tell you all how much I am in love with Rilo Kiley. Jenny is my hero. Their new album is good, not really great though. I love "Silver Lining" and "Under the Blacklight" the best.

BTW, the new video for Silver lining is really cute but pretty sad. Blake and Jenny all the way!

Hello

I'll have to check out the Silver Lining video

Album-wise, I think my favourites are Silver Lining, Breakin' Up and Under The Blacklight. Not too keen on Dejalo but, this is RK, I think I'm genetically predisposed to like all their music so I wouldn't say there's a bad track on the album
