You're downloading the eps, right? Then what difference does it make if you watch it right when if finishes the download, or a few hours after that? Not that I'm like against you missing your class, or anything But you know, what's the rush? It'll be there waiting for you and all... Yeah, I clearly haven't been majorly obsessed with shows for far too long. That's too bad. By the way, how's your present coming along? Oh, I see, you'd better obey your hormones then. I've become such a bad TV junkie, what happened to me? I used to watch it religiously all day long, tape shows and all that... These days I watch about 3-4 shows a week. And "Without A Trace" is aired here, and I've read good things about it, but I just don't feel like watching it, just like a lot of other great shows I know I'm missing out on. This must be a sign - I'm getting old. Retirement here I come... __________________

Neither did I - which made me laugh all the harder
Yep, downloading the eps as they haven't even bought the rights to show it here yet. Same with House and Lost and all the good new stuff except Medium (should start later this month). Err, it makes a world of difference between whether I'm sane or not *G*. See when I get a new VM ep, I occasionally do make myself wait a bit before watching it - just so the wait till the next one is a bit shorter. Ok, admittedly there's a bit of just general masochism in there too . But to actually have it on my comp and then go to school even if I have only one 4 hour class.. that'd be about 6 & 1/2 to 7 hours during which I would probably come to regret my decision many, many times *G*. That'd probably be a bit too much, heh. If the class was something really important that I had to attend, then I wouldn't really have a problem. It's the completely useless 4 hour surfing while the teacher natters on and on about useless stuff while I could be home enjoying myself some quality tv that does my head in . I still haven't managed to put together a mix as I've been concentrating on the covers. Decided that tomorrow is the day to really start with the '73 song list, so I uploaded all the 100 songs to my mp3-player, so I can use the train and bus time for that too . Hee, I actually indulged in some of that aforementioned masochism and made myself stay away from said WaT ep. Not that it really hurt, because I spent the time reading Danny/Martin fics instead Heh, I'm sorta a junkie when it comes to watching series. I watch something like 10+ series . Some like VM because they're great, but most (Cold Case when I can find it, CSI Vegas & NY, DH, GG..) because they're alright.. they're basically my "if I feel like watching tv" shows, because sometimes I just feel like watching tv instead of a movie or reading or whatever, but I still don't usually like just trying to see if there's anything worth watching on because usually there isn't on our channels. Hence downloading a lot of stuff and just watching it when I feel like it *g*. I think right now VM, House, Lost & Numb3rs are it when it comes to Really wanting to watch the shows, NCIS too for the slash and WaT for the pretty , but after that it's much more of blah thing.. ps. mhhmm, hormones __________________

Got it. I can see why you're so tempted to skip school now. Useless class vs. VM final? Yeah, I suppose the choise is pretty obvious here. Plus, you'll spare yourself the masochism part.
Enjoyed the songs today? Quote:
Mmmm, those hormones of yours sure do know what's good for them. I now present to you a list of random links for the weekend: 1)Montage-a-google - A really fun site. Search for something, and it'll create a montage based on the results. The Placebo montage is quite great. (See? I'm on topic!) 2)The perfect solution for people like me, who don't have money to buy an iPod, and thus suffer from lack-of-coolness; You can now make yourself one using paper! 3)Margot Quan Knight - A fascinating photographer. I especially like the "fabrica" section, even though it's very "eww"-provoking. 4)A rather disconcerting article. Email apparently destroys the mind faster than marijuana. Yikes! 5)Air's "Talkie Walkie" for download. 6)Ever wondered what's on Jesus' iPod? 7)Tim Burton's short film Stainboy. 8)Robert & Shana ParkeHarrison - Amazing photographers. It's hard to believe that all these surreal and gothic sets are actually hand-made, and not paintings. 9)Billy Corgan has a blog, so does Melissa Auf der Mar, and so does Fetus Spears. 10)A lovely May mix, including Coldplay, Beck, Bright Eyes, The White Stripes, QOTSA, my current obsession Sufjan Stevens, and many more... 11)Continuing with Sufjan, if nobody minds, here's "Chicago", off his upcoming album "Illinois" (his goal is to make an album for each state in the US), which has some of the longest song titles I've ever seen! 12)You probably don't have what to do with the old 1.44 mb floppy discs anymore, huh? This site offers music files, which are exactly 1.44 mb in size, so you can copy them to the floppy discs and send them to your friends. 13)The many moods of Mischa Barton. Priceless. 14)I once recc'ed this song here, and I just found a link: Micronomic by Lali Puna. Okay, enough. Yes, I do realise I have way, way too much time on my hands. __________________

Yeah, I doubt there'll be much wondering about what I'll do come Wednesday
Not really . I had no idea 1973's top 100 had so much crap!! I think the only song that I really, really liked was Bowie's Space Oddity and the poor song was 97th! Ooh, that article was actually pretty interesting! Thank you for the link . Heh, I certainly hope it's true even though I don't watch the West Wing or the Sopranos (tried, got bored) which they used as their main examples of how complex series nowdays are, along with 24. (24 I have been downloading , but since with all the previous seasons I started watching, got bored, watched again, was completely lost etc etc.. so this season I've just downloaded all the eps and am waiting till I get the final and then I'll have myself a proper marathon *g*) They do know, they so do Thanks for all the links too *G*. A few comments, because I feel like babbling, dammit 1. I've been to the montage site, but darn it, the Real Madrid montage wasn't so good because it used the same pictures too many times . 2. Paper iPods? I prefer the paper Marios & Luigis & other Nintendo characters - T = geek ) 3. Was that a carrot going into or possibly coming out of someone's head? I hit the back button either way 4. If the test subjects had trouble seeing the difference between trivial and important messages (penis enlargements and school projects or something the like I imagine..), I'd think they certainly have problems, but blaming it on email.. huh? 5, 10, 11, 14. Downloading & thanking *G* 6. Jesus has a lot better music taste than I thought *G* 7. Aww, that was a lovely little short. Loved the Wunderbaum, heh. 8. Those were downright lovely in that good creepy way *G*. Reminded me of City of the Lost Children and Dark City 9. Shall have to take a look at those. Must say that as much as I don't give scheisse about Spears, that Fetus Spears name still gets a chuckle out of me. 12. Aww, that almost makes me shear a tear for my floppy disk station. Poor thing hasn't worked i years. All I know is the part into which the power cable goes? It looks charred. I have no idea how I managed that though *g*. 13. Ouch Perfect timing - I just heard my queue to start watching the new WaT ep (a little configuring and now when a download finishes, I hear quite the redneck voice stating "My head hurts, my feet stink and I don't love Jesus" ). ETA: hee, Colin Farrell's version of I fought the Law is actually kinda nice. It's all in the growling *G* __________________

Pretty pic!
Sorry I've not been replying. I keep coming in and meaning to contribute to the conversation, but it's, well, kinda deeply off-topic. And my attention span isn't long enough to sift through all those giant posts... __________________

That it is *happy sigh*
Deeply off-topic, we? Never . Oi, those weren't even close to being long To be a bit more _not_ OT, I can't even remember when I heard Placebo the last time outside of my playlist . __________________

Yeah
I guess it'd be a bit easier if they'd at least play some of the old stuff here, but nooo.. if it's MTV, that'd be time that can be spent airing freaking reruns of Newlyweds or if it's radio, it'd be time for yet another completely useless and boring talk of whatever that will go half over any songs they'll play.. not that it'll hurt the songs since what they play is such utter crap anyway. Bitter? Never __________________

Hello! I've been so lazy, I'm sorry darlings. The other day I was listening to CDs, and I had that sudden turn on radio moment, and Running Up That Hill was playing. Weird eh? It was during the request section which I guess explains that. Turned the radio off though to be honest, because I was enjoying my CDs. I was having a Strokes afternoon.
Missed out on Splendour ticket, like 99% of the population. Scalping has gotton to a whole new level of fcking ridiculous. On Ebay some people are bidding thousands for tickets, then not paying. I'm so tempted to do that too, because it's fcking unfair, and it's obvious when they're selling them so soon they bought them with the intention to scalp them. And Ebay can't do anything really, because what they're doing is illegal. Anyway I'm most likely going to Sydney to see Interpol. I refuse to miss out on them. Good bye money, good bye bass that I must some day own. Apparently I'm token girl in yet another band, but this one won't start for a few years. one day I'll stop being token girl and actually have some music talent I can lay claim too. __________________

Sorry for not posting lately, this week has turned out to be a lot more eventful than I had imagined. Quote:
Glad you enjoyed most of the links. And happy birthday to your dad! Kingdom of Heaven? Is that the new Orlando Bloom film? I thought about going to check it out since it has to do with Jerusalem, so I hear, but I haven't gotten the chance yet. Hello E! Sorry to hear there's been so much mess with getting a Splendour ticket. When is the Interpol gig you're planning on attending? Hee, another band? Wow, that's too cool! __________________

Nicky - I still don't get the big deal about Interpol is, but since you obviously do, I'm happy that you'll et to see them
Quote:
Yeah, it's the Orlando Bloom movie though I kinda hate it that they've advertised it as just that. I mean it's got David Thewlis (who I love even more now - it's the smirking *G*), Liam Neeson, Marton Csokas, Jeremy Irons (described as "fey" in some reviews *G*) and Edward Norton. You'd think a few of those would fit the posters too, but no.. it's all Orlando and Eva Green, hmpf. The names I mentioned there are the ones people would probably easily recognice (okay, maybe not Csokas that easily, but there are plenty of LOTR fans still around and I assume he's far better known down under than up here).. Oh and there's even a Finn called Jouko Ahola in the movie *g* (notiacable by the bad German accent, heh), but he's hardly one that people would know. Even I didn't know who he was before, it's just that thing with Finnish names being so different that they're practically impossible not to notice. But I'll have to add that as much as I loved Thewlis' smirking, he or any others mentioned above weren't the reason why I loved it so much. Not that my reason wasn't every bit as shallow as any Orlando fangirl's . I mean sure I liked it a lot (a hell of a lot actually) for not going with the christians good, muslims bad angle that doesn't even deserve a bad tv-movie imo, but showed that both sides have their idiots etc etc. So my reason? guh (that cap's from Reign of Fire though). Could've done without the damn beard obstructing my view in KoH (it was full one, not that I didn't have time to shave for days thing he has in the cap that actually looks rather good, heh), but can't say that bothered me much because you just don't see Siddig enough on the big screen, so even if the beards there too, it's not problem. Now if it was the beard inly there, then I'd want to have words with someone . babble, babble, babble __________________

I didn't think about Kingdom of Heaven much, but I just saw a bit of 'the making of' on telly and it doesn't look half bad, so I might go sometime.
T - for the longest time I didn't get what the big deal was with Interpol either, but if you give them a bit of time and attention, they grow absolutely addictive. __________________

Since you people keep them in such high regard, I guess I can't but try to get my hands on some more songs than Specialist & Length of Love . Though I must say that the start (8sec->) of Specialist makes me thing of one of the Bloodhound Gangs' songs and that's never a good thing. (Mainly because I'm incapable of respecting anyone who considers a lifetime NRA membership the best gift they've ever gotten.) So if you could give any recs... Until then, I'll keep listening to Kaiser Chiefs since they sound amusing enough even though I have no other idea about them. Don't even know what they look like as I just grabbed the CD based on the word kaiser in the band name, heh. __________________
