| Outkast Agrees to MTV Video Cuts Outkast's new video "Roses" has become the latest video to face an MTV cut because it features scenes of criminal activity. The group was told they'd have to axe scenes in which a character in the video is seen whacking mailboxes before MTV bosses would air it. Big Boi says, "MTV was getting us to take a whole lot of stuff out of the video like a scene where Slim Calhoun is hitting the mailboxes with a baseball bat." "They said, 'If you show somebody committing a crime you have to show the punishment for it.' I never heard of that before." "You've got to give kids a good image although we didn't see nothing wrong with it.
