| One Day to Go Till Garth's The Ultimate Music is a very personal issue with people. We all have our favorite artists and we all have artists we don't like. I have liked various forms of music thru out my life. From the soft rock of the 70's when I was a kid, to groups like Queen when I was a teenager. I then become a big fan of Billy Joel. Then I heard a singer by the name of randy Travis at the age of Twenty and I got into country music, I started to listen to the likes of George Strait and Alan Jackson. But one artist for me stands above all others and that is Garth Brooks, he takes the sounds of George Strait and mixes it with the tempo and rawness of Bruce Springsteen. His Lyrics are about Hope, Love and Faith, while touching on social responsibility, the environment, gay rights and equality for woman. He retired in 2000, but on August 21st 2007, he announced he has recorded four new songs that will be put on a greatest hit CD collection along with some new videos that he has filmed for a DVD that comes with the CD. This week he doing some concerts in Kansas to Promote it. Its great to have him back, even only for a short while, for me this is what Beatles fan must feel like, when new songs are discovered. Roll on November 6th. | |||
