| I heard about this last night and I was so saddened. The rap world has really lost a huge star. He always kept me laughing w/his interesting videos and always kept me smiling w/his funny comments. | I remember watching his special on MTV (either earlier this year or last year) and just thinking about how even though I'm a huge music fan, I didn't really know that much about ODB but what reporters on the news would say about him. From that show, I could tell he was a nice guy who just liked for himself and all the people around him to have some fun. | Okay, I am not a fan of rap at all, but this just is shocking because he was young. He was on the Model Show season two! |  RIP Russell Jones, aka ODB aka Ol' Dirty Bastard aka BZA aka Unique Ason aka Osirus aka Dirt McGirt aka Ol' Dirt Dog aka Big Baby Jesus. You were one of a kind and will be missed. One of my fondest memories of Dirty was when he crashed the Grammy Awards and rushed on stage to protest Puffy winning Best Rap Album. His rant was classic: "Please calm down. I went and bought me an outfit today that cost me a lot of money, because I figured that Wu-Tang was gonna win. I don't know how you all see it, but when it comes to the children, Wu-Tang is for the children. We teach the children. Puffy is good, but Wu-Tang is the best. I want you all to know that this is ODB, and I love you all, peace." I'll never forget that. Wu-Tang is for the children!!Oh, and there was one other moment that stands out. It was when ODB was on the run from the police after breaking out of jail. MTV was filming a Wu-Tang concert in New York, when who should appear on stage, none other than ODB himself. Who else would have the balls to appear in a concert while being on the run? And then to top it all off, Dirty got caught by the police while signing autographs outside of a McDonalds.
