The sweet spot is 15-20°C for me Early 20s (as it is now) is ok, but it's been humid as hell so it feels so much worse! I've been taking refuge in my office area and turning on the AC. XD


Sooo, you know I love my cats....BUT. Poe, my black cat, is skittish as hell. I love holding him and cuddling him and I know he loves it too! As I was putting him outside yesterday, I had him in my arms. I opened the door and a gust of wind threw the door open and scared the ever loving crap out of him and he scrabbled up and over my shoulder to get inside. Sooo.. ow. All kinds of ow. I have cuts on my stomach, my chest and arms, and punctures on my shoulder/blade. This isn't the first time he's done this.. I have too many scars from when something spooked him and unfortunately he was resting on me or I was holding him. I might lay off picking him up/cuddling him for a while

Geez, Nellie. This is why I don't trust cats. That, and I'm allergic.

We hit up the pool again today because it was blazing again. I really hope the whole summer isn't like this. And it doesn't help those of us who work in a kitchen, it just makes us hotter.

I was still petting him and loving him, but the no-upsies and cuddles didn't last long.


Gareth used to be a chef and we were actually talking about his worst summers as one He said the laser thermometer read 50°C in the kitchen one summer! NO THANKS! XD I worked as a barista and we were cornered in our area by a big grill. I hated it Never again.

^ You and me both! We had a heat wave a couple of years ago (reason we have a portable AC unit) and it was late 30s.. and omg, I was so sick for the entire time with heat exhaustion. Didn't matter how much I drank or stayed indoors or whatever.

What's the hottest you ever experienced?

Jess, I was actually thinking of getting a large kiddie pool for our yard Or if we're feeling splurgy, like a 10 pack to our wave pool. That'd be nice

If anyone's looking for a good rom-com, Netflix's Always Be My Maybe is sooo good I am probably going to watch it again! I have never seen Ali Wong's standup but I will definitely check it out. I'm glad Randall Park is finally getting his moment!
