We saw Nickelback and Daughtry at our state fair the other night. Daughtry did an awesome job as always, and Nickelback kicked some ass as well.

It was a good time overall.

I won the tickets off the radio, which surprised me because I never win anything.

It turned out to be a really good time.

I'm so glad my work week is over.

We had two chefs on vacation so we've had two people essentially doing the work of four, and it's just been a mess.

I know. It was frustrating.

But we made it through.

I have been. Yesterday we went back to the State Fair to see (and eat) the things we missed the last time. It was a beautiful day for it too.

Today we're driving up to the lake for a bit so Bernie can see some of his family he hasn't seen in awhile.

Then I work tomorrow, and have Monday off for Labor Day, which is annoying.

But someone's gotta do it.

Yeah, I got through it.

We tried to be productive today. Went to the gym, did some swimming, cleaned house and put up my Fall decor, and sorted the save the dates for our wedding.

4-day weeks are great, I'd much rather work an extra two hours on those days and have an extra day off.

I made it through.

I have so much to do tomorrow before my friend's come over. I'm inviting my bridal party over so I need to finish their gifts and get groceries because I'm having a taco bar. We're just going to drink and play games, and have a generally good time. Should be fun.
