I'm not sure anything will ever top Whoa, Nelly for me, but I'm looking forward to hearing the new album. Though I have to admit, with the little that I've heard...I'm not sure I'll like it. Seems like she changed her sound.

This album is definitely a different sound in contrast to her first two albums. I love Promiscuous. I'm eager to hear the rest of the record.

Whoa, Nelly was a really great album but I like this one better, maybe because it's a new material.

Promiscuous Is an amazing song. I wasn't a fan of any of the songs off her last album, but I am really enjoying her songs as she matures

I loved her previous two albums. I must've listened to Folklore for an entire year straight. It was such a good album. It's a pity it didn't do very well.

I never did warm up to Folklore. I'm not sure why. I bought it, listened to it a couple of times, and haven't put it in the cd player since. I'm expecting to like Loose better than it.

I've heard about 3 tracks from Loose and I love them. It should be a good record.

very clubby type of album..but some standout vocal songs.

In Gods Hands is a really nice song.

This is my favorite album from Nelly. There are some AMAZING tracks on it, and I really love the new sound she's implementing. I really hope "Promiscuous" can get to No.1. "Hip's Don't Lie" is doing wonders on iTunes, but Nelly really does deserve it more!

Nelly Furtado tops singles chart

Canadian star Nelly Furtado fended off a string of football-themed tracks to take the number one spot in the UK singles chart, with hit song Maneater.

Maneater rose seven places, knocking Sandi Thom's I Wish I Was a Punk Rocker off the top after just one week.

Nelly Furtado on her new album and her daughter

Singer Nelly Furtado's new album, Loose, was inspired by her 2 1/2-year old daughter, Nevis. "This album wouldn't have existed if I wasn't a mother," says Nelly. "That's why it's called "Loose."

Nelly says that during the recording process of her album she would take Nevis to the park and go to the beach in Miami. At night, Nelly would record her music. She says she's living her own childhood over again by seeing the world through her daughter's eyes.

Success won't spoil Nelly if Nevis has anything to do about it. "It's easy to just float away into the cosmos if you don't have your 3-year-old throwing soup at you at the restaurant!"

Loose comes out June 20.

Arghhh i'm so happy she hit #1 in the UK It's her first time aswell, she really does deserve it!

Now if only she could do the same thing with "Promiscuous" in America, everything would be going her way
