YAY! I am have always been a HUUUUUUGE Mariah fan. Not so much her new stuff, but her oldies....amazing work. I think the first CD I ever owned was the "Daydream" CD. It still rocks my world YEARS later.

I really hope she comes back huge! IMO, she has the best voice in the business, even beating Whitney.

And that album cover! WOW. At first glance, I thought it was Beyonce. LOL that is gorgeous

Lovely album cover! Mariah looks gorgeous! I this girl! She IS the greatest singer ever! I think my favorite songs from her are My All and Butterfly!

Oooh I absolutely LOVE Butterfly! I listen to it all the time, especially the last half. Her voice...it just gives me chills. Those notes she hits, and holding them for that long astonishes me!!!!

My other faves have to be Can't Let Go, Vision of Love, Anytime You Need a Friend, the list goes on and on......basically everything I have heard her sing. lol

She writes the best lyrics!

I love her older stuff : her debut all the way through Butterfly....but I've never cared for her more recent material.

I saw the Charmbracelet tour in '03. I've been a fan of Mariah's since I was ten and Daydream came out, so getting to go to that concert was something special. It was absolutely awesome--hearing those high notes live is incredible.

Why does that album cover remind me of '80s era Barbie doll box art? It's pretty, though. I like her. Funny how my tastes run through all kinds of metal and alternative, but still hold much respect for Mariah.

I hope she has an original song on this album as good as her cover of BOTH on Charmbracelet. I never liked the original but Mariah's cover of it was so amazing.

It'd be nice if she'd incorporate some organic elements (read: musicians playing actual instruments) into her music again. This light hip-hop crap needs to stop; she's too good to just float alongside some mediocre rap artist.

I miss the organic music too, but i tihnk the music she does now opens her to a broader audience

Mmm, I'm not so sure myself. I know there was a definite drop in sales when guest rappers started making regular appearances, and I'm not saying rap is bad. It just doesn't have to be featured on every single bloody uptempo single she's released since '97, that's all.
