Hey guys, been a while since any kind of update, but here goes: Most recent news: Lostprophets are thrilled to announce that guitarist Lee Gaze and his wife, communications specialist Syirin Said, have welcomed their first child—a son. After almost 60 hours of labour, Syirin gave birth to Daniyal Rehan Said Gaze in London on Oct. 18 with Lee by her side. Daniyal weighed in at 8 lbs., 9 oz. "We are extremely excited to start our family with the arrival of baby Daniyal. He is so, so cheeky—he sleeps so well when we're out and about, but refuses to sleep when he's home, which means no sleep at all for Mommy and Daddy. But it's all so worth it," say the new parents, who were married in Syirin's native Malaysia earlier this year after four years together. "We're looking forward to whatever comes next from our little monster!" After spending the last few weeks bonding at home with his new family, Lee is set to join the other members of Wales's Lostprophets at a Los Angeles recording studio this week where the band will finish their fourth full-length album, a follow-up to the No. 1 Liberation Transmission. So happy for Lee   On NY Eve, Ian, The Blackout, Kids in Glass Houses and Attack! Attack! | More news and vids: You may/may not have read that Ilan Rubin, the drummer from lostprophets will be joining Nine Inch Nails as their drummer from 2009 Article here: BLABBERMOUTH.NET - NINE INCH NAILS Taps LOSTPROPHETS Drummer It was thought at first that Ilan would be continuing as the drummer for lostprophets, but it now turns out that wnt be the case. One of the members from MEGALOLZ.com got this message from Ilan about the NIN offer: hey man, thanks a lot i really appreciate it! Im definitely finishing the albums with the guys and playing on it. But as of 09, NIN will be my main priority and i wont be able to play with lps. It was an offer i couldnt pass up you know? But i really hope you enjoy the TNR album too. Im very excited for that to come out on tuesday. thank you very much for the kind words! take care and feel free to write whenever, ilan I wish him the best of luck with NIN, he's been a fantastic drummer for the boys ... Latest 'prophets blog: The Good Soldier - Official Statement Current mood: nostalgic As some of you may or not know, Ilan our drummer of 3 years is leaving us for a bigger band and a real pay check. Jokes aside, I hear you asking did he bite the hand that feeds? What kind of a reptile or demon seed is he? That, my friends, needs to stop right now, i do not want this. Sometimes love is not enough, and after 3 years the line begins to blur. We asked him 'you know what you are?' while he replied if 'only!'. Then went on to tell NIN 'im looking forward to joining you finally' because he is a naughty little piggy. The way out is through times like these, and even though we're in this together we all know Ilan will find happiness in slavery. I know some of you will claim this is heresy, and i will admit i am somewhat damaged, but thats what i get. Yes this does suck but i guess it was his wish . I also know some of you thought this was all a terrible lie, so i hate having to be the one giving you all the big come down, but even though we are all a little bit fragile right now, i know our survivalism will get us through and it will all be for the greater good. Ilan has a lot of discipline and i know he will no longer think that every day is exactly the same, this is a god given chance for him. So this puts into motion the beginning of the end for Ilan and Lostprophets. We have all grown closer to him, and know he is not the great destroyer. No matter what he never gave up on our vessel. In this twilight we are letting you know that there is no need to panic or worry. This isnt the start of a downward spiral, we are now even deeper into the new album and will never succumb to the great below. Underneath it all my violent heart still beats a proud and sure rhythm. The warning here is that you never know whats around the corner, and even though you may get hurt, sin or no sin, all you need to do is keep your head down and know that you still have us, and we will continue to give you all the love in the world. We wish Ilan good luck with everything, and while the time we have together is getting smaller, we will always look up at the same lights in the sky and know he is right where he belongs. As some of you might have read, I will be joining Nine Inch Nails as of 2009. Although the opportunity brings me great honor, It sucks to say goodbye. I wanted to let you all know personally that I'm thankful for everything I've experienced with Lostprophets over the past 3 years. It was an amazing time playing shows all over the world, meeting new friends and fans, and of course being a part of this group. I'll certainly miss it and I hope I haven't upset anyone, but the times always go on. Thanks to everybody who have supported the band and myself the entire time. I hope to see all, or at least some of you at future NIN shows wherever they may be. Also, I wanted to thank Mike, Lee, Stu, Jamie, and Ian, their families, and the crew who have taken me in as one of their own and have helped me get to where I am today. I really do appreciate it all and I consider them some of my best friends (innit). I hope I can keep my Welsh accent sharp for whenever I'm back in the valleys boyos. For all of you out there who are curious about this long awaited 4th album, we are getting ready to record the final tracks. And although it's taken a while, we've always had your satisfaction in mind. But before my rambling gets old, I should mention that I'll still be writing, recording, and performing with The New Regime. | Hmmm... it's been 9 months and no-one's posted on here?!!? Looks like it's up to me to bump things back up lol OOoookay so you may/may not have heard that the boys new album is called "The Betrayed", and scheduled to be released on 11th January 2010 (in the UK)... The first single off the album called "It's Not the End of the World, But I Can See It From Here", is gonna be released on 12th October 2009. Album can be pre-ordered here: Lostprophets - The Betrayed Single can be pre-ordered here: Lostprophets - End of the World I uploaded the single when it was recorded off the radio a few weeks back: MEGAUPLOAD - Lostprophets -- End of the World ... let me know if it works alright for you guys! Aaaaand, the video: Lostprophets -- End of the World Video Errrrm.... what else?!?! I saw the boys play twice back in August... (9th and 10th time seeing them!!!)... At the former gig, stayed around afterwards until just gone 2am in the morning and FINALLY met the boys!! (well apart from the drummer), got pictures and autographs with them ^_______^, made my night/year lol ... The latter gig was at Reading Festival, and they headlined on Sunday night on the NME Stage... Twas their first time headlining this particular fesitval, and BOY did they play well!! It was a choice of either seeing them, or seeing Radiohead. Think I made the right decision! hahah...Good times!!!On the subject of drummers, they boys have a new one after Ilan left to join NIN... New guy is called Luke Johnson, and after seeing him perform twice, I can honestly say he is an EXCELLENT replacement!! | Georgie you're alive Thanks for all info and video.I really can't wait for january and new album.I've seen a few live videos and I'm sure new album will be epic! New LPS song is simply amazing and video too.I think is one of the best they've ever had.Luke is perfect I really like him(more than Ilan). I haven't seen LPS live yet New Album due out early 2008 - it's gonna be GOOD! This is the best name of the thread ever!! I'm so excited that boys are back __________________ | |||

Haha, kinda need to change the title of the thread dont I... its nearly 2 years old Aye, the new song is really really good  I bought the CD Single (as opposed to being naughty and dloading), and the B-Side Song AC Ricochet, is pretty catchy too, I'll try and upload it later for you... Or maybe PM it to anyone who wants it as dont want FF to get done for copyright! Oo-errr! lolSo, 22nd has come round fast, and will be seeing the boys once again tomorrow evening, with fellow Welsh bands The Blackout and New 1920s as support acts...
