For someone that doesn't own TFSOP, how would you guys compare it to Start Something? I do have LT, but that album's...too different for comparison's sake. Just wondering, cause I was looking on Amazon and they have it at a good price, so was thinking of getting it...

In my opinion, Start Something is definitely the best album out of the three. Dont get me wrong, FSOP is a really good album. Some pretty "heavy" stuff on there lol.

I would definitely recommend getting it, just so you can listen to how much they've changed from album to album

You should be able to find it for cheap cheap now , so yeah go for it!

^ I'm kinda with you. Though I adored the LT album, it was so awesome, an I had so much fun when that was around and that tour and such.

SS was an amazing album.
But, like you said they changed so much from each album. TFSOP was really 'raw' I guess. But it does have some good songs on there.

I hear they're going back to the TFSOP routes for the next album, and I'm not so sure about that idea...

Oh yea I am a fan of LT too, (sorry my last post didnt actually hint on that lol). And I too enjoyed the tour of that album , got some right catchy songs on it hehe ... And its the only one (so far!!) to get to number 1 in the UK, so well done to them on that heh.

Have you heard some of the songs from the new album?? There's some videos/audio of them playing live either in this thread or the old one... Most of them sound pretty damn good (eg The Dead and Atrocity..) So if they are anything to go by, the album will be ace!! \o/

I've heard a couple. I've got 'For He's A Jolly Good Felon' -- I don't really want them to go back to TFSOP sound. I don't see the point in them doing that, really.
They should carry on moving forward. I don't wanna see them go back to it to stay in with all this 'so called music' that we have around at the minute. I'm a bit... half n' half on the new album, so far. From what I've seen/heard around.
But, I won't pass full judgement 'til it's out.

Ah, I really love Felon!! They played that live for the 1st time @ the Glasgow gig I went to last yr. I think it went down pretty well, but whether it will be on the album, or become a B-Side remains to be seen. Hoping it'll be on there though .

I dont want them to go back to the Fake Sound... sound either. As you said, they should move forward, not backwards

New myspace bloggy from Mr Watkins:

"Sex, drugs and moderate violence

Good title I thought, and pretty apt also. I wanted to hit u guys up, give u and update of our goings on etc. Album wise is gonna be sweet. Still not sure on a release date but I'm super excited about getting it out there. Best yet I reckon.

As for other stuff, we have been working on a lot of other cool **** that will start materialising in the next few weeks, months. The first one I'll tell u about may not interest u, but its something different that I was a part of and its always cool telling people about stuff.

I've been working on various projects with a couple of fashion photographers. The shoots have ranged from being really high end fashion concepts with the Ian Watkins that you know and hate, to a taboo pushing, ground breaking 'terry richardson' style shoot. That last shoot was the most interesting for me as it gave me the chance to act completely out of character and explore the the extreme nihilism of the 80's rock star. We created a digi cam photo diary where I played a character that was a fusion of Jim Morrison and Nikki Sixx...need I say more? Oh ok I will, let me just say that no one was harmed during the shoot and that no animals or children were used! It was an interesting experience, and even though it was staged, some of the results look worryingly realistic, but i guess thats the whole point innnittt! Keep your eyes peeeeeled.

As for the other stuff, look for some big news early may."

Roll on May is all I can say , and the photos sound interesting
