| Late Tuesday on a benefit concert DETAILS: October 7th, 2004 - Late Tuesday & guests @ The Triple Door 216 Union Street, Seattle | 7:30 | 6:00 doors | $10 | Reservations: 206.838.4333 SEATTLE, WA: October is "Domestic Violence Awareness Month" and on October 7th Rock for a Remedy and BlueTree.org present female indiepop band, Late Tuesday, in a benefit concert at The Triple Door to support New Beginnings. This all-ages show also features 103.7 The Mountain favorite Ian McFeron as well as Brandon Ghorley & Luke McPherson with their band. Seattle's New Beginnings offers a safe place for battered woman and children to heal while promoting awareness of the domestic abuse that is felt by nearly one third of all women in America. Offering such services as an emergency shelter, transitional housing, safety planning, parenting classes, individual advocacy, support groups (for teens, children, and women), and community education, as well as a 24 hour crisis line which services over 9,000 calls a year, New Beginnings seeks to approach domestic violence as a community responsibility. Headlining the evening is the popular Bellingham band, Late Tuesday. Known for powerful melodies and complex harmonies, the trio's sound is often compared to Ben Folds, Sarah McLachlan, and the Indigo Girls. According to 103.7 The Mountain ".their voices are strong and independent with interwoven harmonies accompanied by piano, acoustic and electric guitars and Rhodes" and The Triple Door describes them as "charming in the best sense: melodic, personal and energetic." __________________ -Samantha- When you're a kid you assume your parents are soulmates.
