Midnight Show is first, yes. This is where the killer is running away from the cops after he commited his crime. In Jenny, he is already caught, and is confessing.

Isn't it? I love that they tell stories. If you listen to all their lyrics, they tell stories.

Andy You're a Star is based on a crush Brandon thought he had ons some guy in high school...it was more like hero worship, really. The star quarterback everyone loves and therefore all the guys want to be and all the girls want to date.

Mr. Brightside runs along the same lines as The Murder Trilogy, only in Mr. Brightside he isn't too sure if his girlfriend is *really* cheating on him. It's just the images that come to his mind, and he doesn't know which way to think about it: whether to believe his girlfriend is cheating on him, or whether to look at the "brightside" and remain uninformed...

Dave thought up that song. He always looks on the Brightside of things. Brandon is the dark one of the group...he can easily depress himself with his thoughts (or so he says...).

Hmm...Believe Me, Natalie is about a girl who gets aids at Studio 54. So in the song, they tell her that she should let go of her inhibitions and forget all the smack people are talking about her, and that she should just go on and have the time of her life because...well...she's going to die any day now.

What Rio do you think they're refrring to? Rio de Janeiro? Rio, the hotel in Vegas (where they are from). Or that it's just a nod to one of their favorite bands, Duran Duran...

I just have to say that I the title of this thread. All The Things That I've Done is my favourite song, just take a look at my sig.

I automatically assumed it was Rio de Janeiro, but I'm from Brazil so it's natural for me to think that

I know! I thought Rio de Janeiro too! But then I was in Vegas last week, and I saw the Rio Hotel, and I thought "Wow, it could be that, as they are from here..."

And then I was bored in the car and I was playing games with my cousins, and we did this "Guess a song with this word" and I, having On Top in my head, said "Rio" and my cousin said "Rio by Duran Duran," and then another light bulb went off in my head and I thought "What if they meant THAT Rio, an obscure reference to Duran Duran..."

So it got me thinking.

I tend to overanalyze things. It's the HP lover in me. But since I know I'm *meant* to overanalyze when it comes to this band I don't fuss.

Cereal Killer You should really listen to the whole album, every time you hear it you'll find something new. The nuances are astounding...
