| Katy Rose Appreciation #1: Cuz you might just turn out to be someone I like Hey, I noticed we didn't have a Katy Rose thread. (Or if we do, could you kindly point me towards it.) I know I'm not the only fan of hers on FF as I did not make my avatar. It was a pre-made one. So discuss her in all her mighty. Is anyone going to see her in the tour she's on with Liz Phair, the Cardigans, and Charlotte somebody? I wish I could but they're not coming near me. | Hey! I am glad to see a Katy thread. I think her album is awesome. I love her lyrics. My fave songs off the album are "I Like" "Original Skin" and Teachin' Myself To Dream." | I quite like her album. Some of the songs do fade into one another but some of the writing is very clever. | I know, that is just incredible that she is so talented and she's only the same age as I am. And, I got another Thorns newsletter today. They say they still got the free tixs for Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, San Diego, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Denver, Minneapolis and Philadelphia. So golden_dust, you still have a chance. | I just joined the Thorns, how exactly do I win tix? She is playing the Electric Factory which is my favorite Philly venue because it isnt too big and not too small. Some of the best seats are in the bar and I am of age now to go up there! I was suprised when I heard how young she was. Her lyrics are very mature compared to some people who are older than her (Avril, Ashlee Simpson, Mandy Moore, the list could go on) I was really glad I got her CD. Her lyrics helped me through a hard time and made me rethink things- so rock on Katy! __________________ The Golden Girl | |||
