Well, I'm not sure how true this is, but..Mayer did say that he used auto tune on every album. It's possible he was just talking crap. Judge for yourself.

Yeah, I'm not feeling the whole autotune movement in rap/R&B. It sound like an attempt to put a little techno vibe into the genre and its not working imo. I'd rather JM stick to his style.

I think I was in row 9 or something. My camera has a good zoom and I tried to avoid people's heads and hands as much as possible.

Completely random, but the cached link through my browser went to the old thread. I forgot we were up to #23 and went to the end of thread #22. I was surprised to see a giant picture of Ice Cube replacing one of the posted concert pictures in post #290. Weird.
As for the auto tune It's clearly used on In Repair, though I would not be surprised if it's been used elsewhere. Not all auto tuning is the same, and if he has used it other albums I can't pin point a song with that cliche auto tune sound. Not the case with In Repair unfortunately. Still one of my favorite songs, but it's tainted a bit by the excessive auto tune during the "I'm in repair" lines. __________________
