| Which is hilarious in itself because Taylor's only in about 4 seconds of the song. I have this sneaking suspicion that John just invited her to sing so he could have an opportunity to sleep with her. This is what he said about her on it: The idea for the song came to Mayer in a dream. “I woke up with the song in my head called ‘Half of My Heart,’ ” he recalled. “And the idea is that it’s this real sort of updated — not that it needs to be updated — sort of Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks thing.” On the track, Mayer sings lead with Swift lending backup vocals. “I thought, ‘Well, if this is going to be my love letter to that style of music, who’s going to be the Stevie Nicks in this equation?’ ” he recalled. “And I thought, ‘This Taylor Swift girl is going to be around for a long time.’ ” __________________ Still not boring. | |||

| yep. the whole thing. assassin is totally my favorite track now. i'd say this is his most creative album since rfs. and i totally don't get the fleetwood mac comparison to homh. war of my life is def fleetwood mac inspired. or at least the keyboard is. | |||

| Life can not get much better for a John Mayer fan. We have one week to go guys and tour coming up. I'm pretty psyched. I haven't seen him live since last summer (2008). It's about time.
