What contribution do you feel as though music has made to your life? How do you feel as though music has impacted/ influeced change in society?
Feel free to answer this as you wish, but I was just wondering since music is a universal language, it'd be interesting to know other people's opinions.
I feel as though music has a big influence on not only our individual lives but society as well. I've felt as we as a society has changed, so has music. I feel music has the ability to touch people on a global scale. I think I first noticed this when I heard about Live Aid which happened in the 80's. To raise so much money and have the world connected in one big way was amazing. And I still think to this day that the hugh collaboration of different people in the rock music was amazing.
I also feel like music is acts as a catalyst for change. For example, the messages in the songs have changed. When you heard music in the 50's it was mainly about boys and girls and cars. However, now the message has become more sophisticated and complex with all the message/ political songs and it's impacted us as listeners.
