I know it's an alternative song and it's upbeat and fun. It's a male singer and it's a group with instruments I think....

There this one lyric that goes kinda like...

"My heart beats just like a toy drum"

It should be a recent song, I heard it on the radio not that long ago. And now that I have internet to look it up I don't hear it anymore.

Please help, it's been bugging me.

I'd say that just by reading the lyrics, its definitely a song of longing. Perhaps someone hasn't gotten over the other person in the breakup.

But if I were to dig deeper and analyze the song, I might be as bold to say is it is possible the other person passed away? The line "Well, cant you just let it ring a little longer" suggests the opposite of someone picking up the phone so maybe nobody is there to pick up the phone but he wants to hold on to the feeling that someone might pick up. When my late boyfriend died, I would call his cellphone and just listen to the phone ring and his answering machine pick up with his voice. But when his phone line was disconnected, I could no longer pretend he might pick up. So ringing longer could have been interpreted as holding out longer or something.

And "Oh Telephone Line, give me some time, I'm living in Twilight" might indicate denial? He doesn't want the phone line to cut off as it does when nobody picks up. So instead of the phone ending, he is begging the phone line to give him more time .

It's Friday afternoon, the dreamer in me came out.

Do you know the real meaning? Or were you just asking thoughts?
