In the end of the day, it is all about personal preference. I hate and detest bubblegum pop (likes of Katy Perry, Kesha, One Direction, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Rebecca Black, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Spice Girls, Kylie Minogue, Pussycat Dolls, all pop boybands and girlbands, and more) - I actually prefer Gangnam Style and novelty songs over bubblegum pop

If you go to a Nifty Fifties café
Menu | Nifty Fifty's Check out their menu, a lot of 1950's clasics, including a couple of Sodas called: Blue Raspberry Bubble Gum, Bubble Gum, Cherry Bubble Gum Click on their menu and have a see what they sell, it is a very fun place to go and eat. __________________

The 1950s were before my time but that was the era of Malt shops, drive in movies, roller skates, and the beginning of pop music.

Interesting to read about the origins of bubblegum pop, thanks for sharing. I think I first saw it used online in early or mid 2000s in relation to Britney, Christina, all the boy and girl bands big in the era, etc. But I never really bothered to google where it came from.
Speaking of bubblegum pop, "Dimmu Borgir is bubblegum pop compared to what I listen to" has got to be one of my favorite jokes (at least I choose to believe it was a joke). Also cracks me up to see "Cradle of Filth is Hot Topic black metal!!!!!!!!" pop up in comment sections to this day. Hopefully that's also joking/trolling because I don't think anyone even labels CoF any kind of bm these days. Newish Wolves in the Throne Room ETA: I just checked out this band because a podcast recommended them. They sound interesting: Last edited by Slayerette89; 09-13-2017 at 08:06 AM |

I sometimes do that when I buy tickets way in advance and then they pop up and I'm like "oh yeah!"
