| Have any of you ever been on a Street Team? I'm hoping this is the appropriate place to post this because I just want to ask a few questions. I signed up for the Bonnie McKee Street Team, who is a new pop-rock singer/songwriter. The leader of the team asked it's members if they were interested in handing out fliers, posters and magazines and I said yes and sent my address along with it. What I'm wondering is, have any of you done offline missions for your favorite music artists? I want to put these things in music stores and clothing stores, both places where I often find fliers for musicians. I think the polite thing would be asking somebody who works there if it would be okay if I promoted the artist, right? Or is it okay to just drop about 20 or so and leave? And if you have been on a Street Team before, who was it? | |||

| I'm on the Papa Roach Street Teem, and I was able to pass out posters and stickers around my town just fine. The only problem is that when I asked if I could put up a poster in SamGoodie (music store), they said that since I was only a teem member, I wasn't able to put up the poster. So, try your hardest with that, and I suggest asking the music store owners before you leave a stack of posters on the cashier desk. Hope that helps. ![]() __________________ unwritten by Alex. does is run in your blood to betray the ones you love? | |||

| I'm on the Linkin Park Street Team and when I am promoting offline, I just go to some stores and ask if I could leave some fliers there somewhere, where people can see it. But sometimes, I'm also putting 2 or 3 flyers where the CDs are, so that people who are looking through the CDs can actually see the flyers there, since not everyone is paying attention to flyers that are at the check-out or so. ![]() But you could also go some crowded place in your area and give out some flyers to random people, but the problem with that is that not everyone might like the band/singer and they might react that way, too. | |||

| I'm not on a famous street team but i'm on a street team for the Minnesota based label Oddballer Record and I haven't done any offline missions yet but when I do I'll just randomly hand out flyers. __________________ *DaNNi* | |||
