Good Charlotte #77: These are the Chronicles of Life and Death and Everything Between

Welcome to the Good Charlotte thread!

There is no resisting GC...

The Boys

Then:

And Now:

GC is:
Joel Madden
Benji Madden
Billy Martin
Paul Thomas
Chris Wilson

Our Motto:
We're not obsessed... we're dedicated.

The Vocab:
Teenie: A fan that knows nothing about the band; in general, couldn't care less about the music. Only cares that they are, "HaWt aNd LyKe pLaY pUnK RaWk!! Fer SuRe!"
NOTE: It's alright to go teenie at times... We all do it.
Teenie-Beatdown Stick: Abb. TBS. The stick that we beat off teenies with. (Meg is the keeper of the stick.)
Benjiful: An adjective about being like Benji.
Gutter: Where are minds are most of the time... Jordan and Amber are Queens of the Gutter.
Fanfucs: Twincest fanfics... Long story.
Paulleluja: The happy word; used when good things happen.

Official Titles:
Jordan is the Queen.
Meg the keeper of the TBS and our bodyguard.
Juli is our GC Fairy... Spreading GC goodness.
Missy is our official announcer.
Jenn is our resident "field agent".
Star is our fanfuc supplier.
Jay is our boy.
Nola is our media junkie...giving us avatars to oogle.
Kristyna is our picture junkie...gives us nice pics and animations.
Andi is our village idiot... Yep.
Amber, Kim, Lisa, Emma, Janey, etc. have no titles at the present moment, but I'm sure they will. Just let us know what you want.

And we are all Hobos...

Theme Song - Lifestyles of the Poor and the Homeless

You don't see us on tv
You only see us on the streets
All cuddled up inside the leaves
You wont hear us piss and moan
We'll keep warm with Rolling Stone
Following our favorite band, GC

We bought a van so we could go
towards D.C. to see their show
Thinking that it would suffice
Now we're followin' the band
Attending all the shows we can
And we're now doin' just fine...fine...fine...

Lifestyles of the Poor and the Homeless
We're not complainin', not complainin'
Money is not a problem
We've got our van that
Is good for stalking

Did you know if you're a hobo then it's quite alright
Cause Paul will give you money and food for the night
As long as you get your mind out of the gutter
And did you know that if it's cold out you might have a place
Inside Joel's Range Rover, if he takes the towel off his face
While Benji, Billy and Chris teach you to dance *robot speed*

Now our van is all pimped out
And Canada will hang around
And Chris will buy us mexican
Benji sings 'Gravity Girl'
And Joel claims that he owns the world
Billy and Paul just plain have fun, they have fun...

Lifestyles of the Good Charlotte Hobo's
We're not complainin', not complainin'
With support from all the roadies
Now we're all homies, we're all homies
Lifestyles of the Poor and Homeless
Lifestyles of the GC Hobos
Lifestyles...you are all jealous...

Something Special

Plane Tickets: $150
Concert Tickets: $25.50
Being a GC Hobo outside the venue: Priceless

Three Degrees of a Female Good Charlotte Fan

Riot Girl: very recent, and very teenie fan; knows only of the The Young and the Hopeless album, but may have an inkling that there is a self-titled one lurking about.
Evil Queen: Knows a little more about the actual band, but can tend to get teenie; at least knows they have two albums.
Gravity Girl: An actual fan; appreciates the boys for their music and their hotness; knows their demos/covers/etc., not just the ones you can buy in a store.

...and as for male GC fans... they just rock like that.

Since the beginning of GC history, there have been people that feel the need to explain that GC aren't punk. To those that see this thread and feel the urge to tell us this... We know. GC knows.

"We've never said we were a punk band." -Billy

"I would say we have the spirit and soul of a punk band. Our songs are very poppy, but they're rock songs none the less." -Benji

Official GC Hobo LJ Community can be found here.

Official GC Gutter LJ Community can be found here.

Official GC Site can be found here.

And I supposed that Benji says it best... Keep representin' GC, cause you know we're representin' you!

Party on, GCers!

You know, I haven't opened a thread in a long ass time *wipes a tear* I feel so proud.

Meg, I would not be able to be a vegetarian. I don't think I have the willpower for that. I likes me some meat.

Now, I know what you may be thinking after that sentence. So, thoughts out of the gutter, please

I am proud of you for not listening to the songs. You, too, Kris!

Aww, thank ya doll! And congrats on 1700 posts!

I watch people's post counts obssessively I'm weird.

You know I can't believe we're at 77 threads. And we've lost some people along the way but for the most part we're all still here and posting. As corny as it sounds, I'm glad. I love this thread and the posters here

Hehe, moment over.

Congrats, Kris. Speaking of post counts... How is it possible that you're still not FFF, Juli?

I can't imagine not being a vegetarian. I guess it's just been my life for so long, I don't even think of there being another way.

AW. No, I was thinking the same thing. I was thinking about how close we're getting to 100 and how much I love this thread. AND how much I miss the days of everyone being here and it being crazy.

SIGH. I'm in a conflicted mood.

Aw, thank you girls

I know what you mean about getting so far and us still being together on this thread. Even though I kinda came in the middle of it all I do love the fact that we're still here and none of us have ever been at each others throats. I think we all use this place as a vent you know? Like someone can always come here and say whatever they wanna say and the others will agree or gladden the person.

.. wait I meant to say we can all come here and talk about Good Charlotte. Yeah.. that was it

I know, dammit! I still have so many posts to go. Hmph.

I remember how we would all be here all the time just posting like mad for hours. I used to get off work and come sit here and chat. And then I would wonder what you guys were doing when I was at work.

Sometimes I wish we were still like that but seems everyone is busy all the time I'm glad we still make it a habit to check in at least every few days.

I just miss the summer and the craziness of '03.

ETA: Kris, I don't care when you came. You are a part of our little group here no matter when you showed up. And this isn't just a "GC only" thread. I really feel like we're all friends here.

ETA again: I killed the thread! Going to bed. I worked 12 hours today and I have to work 12 hours tomorrow. 10-12 hrs a day, 7 days a week. My life.

Night girls

I agree. It doesn't matter when you came, it just matters that you're here.

I don't even remember when I got here. Do you, Juli? You're good with that.

'03 was pretty rockin', wasn't it?

OI. I'm so effing BORED. Someone do something entertaining.

Hehe, even though I edited to say I was leaving, I will say this.

Meg, I think we both got here in October '02. Weird, huh? We got here at the same time and were all like ".:Gravity Girl:. , *Juli*, and Jenn23", not Meg, Jenn and Juli. So formal.

I can't remember anyone else who still posts here now besides you, Jenn, and me. The thread was still in single digits then!

October '02 sounds about right. I totally remember calling you all that, too. Heh. Wow. It's been a long time.

You're leaving? You suck. I'm actually here tonight.

Meg, we're celebrating our 2 year anniversary next month. It's not meant to sound as weird as it's sounding

Aww, how time flies!

And you're never here when I am here. You're always off living life and stuff *sniff sniff* I'm not so sure I can entertain you. I'm rather boring, you know. All I do is work 12 hours a day and fool around on the comp for a bit and sleep.

Soooo exciting!

I can stay for a bit. (I'm so easily swayed)

Aww, I remember that!

"And we had to ride the bus - 55!" We freaked out on that one, too. I think we were still riding the bus on the thread title for 56, too, because we were so proud

After 55, I think we ran out of important numbers. Wait... Didn't we?

I wish someone had a list of all the thread titles we could look over.

It's OK. My computer's being a bitch, so I think I'm just gonna finish my journal and head out. I didn't realize it was so late anyway, and I gotta wake up early.
