for a new Coldplay thread! Fantastic title, Jason's Lover4life. It was well worth the wait and we still have some b-sides to look forward to.

They are amazing and it's great that they don't need special effects to make a show great.

I wish I could say the same but I was a die hard Dreamer as well. I shed a river of tears the day the s3 series finale showed. Come to think of it, Roswell is the reason why I like Coldplay. They played "Trouble" when they set Max's Jeep on fire in the s2 finale and I bought the cd right after.


So I know everyone is tired of this age old question and forgive me if it's been asked in this thread before but which version of "Talk" do you like better? Leaked or album version?

I'm still undecided. When I first got the album, I was deadset on loving the leaked version and didn't want to accept the new one but it started to grow on me.

Hi all! Long time no speak.

Got my X&Y last week and are slowly getting into it. Think there are some killer tracks on it, but it has not as yet grabbed me like the last album. So far the best tracks IMO are: Square One, White Shadows and Speed of Sound.

I was a Coldplay fan long before that episode. I was elated when I heard "Trouble" in Departure. In fact, they played "Don't Panic" in Heart of Mine, the scene where Sean drops Liz to school. And "Brothers and Sisters" in Crash, the scene where Isabel's being videotaped using her powers. That song is brilliant.

I guess I'm a bit undecided as well. I got accustomed to listening to the leaked version, but the more I play the album version, the more I'm starting to love it. I can't choose.

On the road, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, 28, keeps a reminder of 13-month-old daughter Apple (whose mom is wife Gwyneth Paltrow) close at hand. "There's normally an 'A' there," he says, referring to his palm, where he often scrawls messages. But he's not always so subtle: Martin has said that on his new album, X&Y, fatherhood made him "want to sing louder about life."

I'm going to say that I like the album version of Talk better. It definitely grew on me and it's one of my favourite songs off the new album. I might be the only one here, but I'm not a big fan of Square One. It's okay but I like a lot of the other songs better. Trouble is still my favourite Coldplay song though. It can't be beat, although I really like Amsterdam as well.

I've been a fan of Coldplay since they started. I love their music and was so happy when I got X & Y. It's a good album and was definitely worth waiting for.

Really? I love "Square One." I think it's a great song leading into the entirety of the record. Actually, it's one of my favorite tracks on the album. And you're right about the album version of "Talk." It's starting to grow on me the more I listen to it.

Aww.."Heart of Mine." That episode broke my heart with the whole Sean/Liz/bowling alley and Max/Tess. I wanted Max to run after her in the hallway. "Brothers and Sisters" was from season 3, right? When I bought my Roswell soundtrack, that was the first thing I listened to.

That's the exact same way I feel about the two.

fleurdelune: I thought the album version of "Talk" was crap at first but the more I hear, the more I love. I'm sure you're not alone in your dislike for "Square one." I didn't like that song or the two following it but this entire album was a grower album for me and by day three, I was in love.
