Classical/Orchestral Music #1
CD Baby: KELLY ANDREW KAVENY: Olympus
CD Baby: E.S. POSTHUMUS: Unearthed Both of these artists sound like classical music and movie soundtrack music. This is most underrated genre; I think more people should get into it. Anyone still listen to this type of music? Last edited by -Supersonic-; 10-21-2007 at 03:52 PM |

Hey, Lyceum!
I've got some movie soundtracks and I love them By the way, welcome to the Music board! You are very welcome to start new threads, however I'll edit your post just to delete the links as it would be considered spam Also, I hope you don't mind me editing the title to make it look like a Classical/Orchestral Music appreciation thread Thread added to the board guide, by the way. __________________

Hi. I recently acquired the soundtrack to Les Choristes and my mp3 software sees it as classical and I agree that it's very classical/orchestral sounding.

Hello all. There's also another artist named Hanz Zimmer who does movie soundtracks like The Rock and Gladiator. Really great music.

I'm beyond ignorant when it comes to really knowing anything about classical music, but I do enjoy the random pieces I find. Especially symphonies. There is something so dynamic and energetic about them. |

Oooh, love the Nutcracker. I actually spend a lot of time listening to my "the Piano Guys" channel on Pandora. That group is a violin & piano player, so it plays a lot of piano music, string music (violins & cellos) & soundtrack music like "Pirates of the Caribbean" Great way to unwind at the end of the day
9 years of being a band geek many years ago has me still loving instrumental music __________________

*kicking up this thread*
Anyone else here that likes/loved/is addicted to soundtracks, and in particular trailer music? Like Two Steps From Hell/Thomas Bergersen. I could just listen to that stuff every hour of the day. Two Steps From Hell just released a new album, Battlecry, and it's so perfect I do also like other classical music, Bach might be my favorite classical composer, especially some of his violin sonata's. Currently I'm practicing Mittsommernacht by Mendelssohn on violin, for a reunion from the orchestra I played in all through middle- and highschool. Very much looking forward to that. |

I like some classical music and thanks for the thread bump too. It's nice to hear what everyone likes.

I've been obsessed with string quartets lately. Especially these two
