Brian won his first Dove Award!

[...]Perhaps because of gospel music's inherent diversity in musical styles, unexpected artists often show up as Dove Award winners. This year is no different. Reigning "American Idol" Carrie Underwood won her first Dove for Country Recorded Song for "Jesus Take the Wheel." Backstreet Boy Brian Littrell made his first appearance on the list of Dove Award recipients with a nod for Inspirational Recorded Song for his recording of the Michael English classic "In Christ Alone," and the Grammy Awards' most honored female artist, Alison Krauss, captured a Dove with her band Union Station for Bluegrass Recorded Song for "Living Prayer."[...]

Quote:
AJ update from MBSBFC conference
AJ along with his mom Denise drops by fan gathering in Orlando
[...]Most amazing thing happened...AJ surprised us with playing 6 songs off of his new album...again, cannot divulge details on these songs (they asked us not to share lyrics, titles, details about the songs or what they're about)...but I will just say one thing: You guys will be BLOWN AWAY! They were INCREDIBLE. I feel so privileged to have been there and been able to hear some of his new music...I am anxiously awaiting his album! He said he might do some more JNN shows as well. He did mention that he'd be recording through August, and at the same time the boys will be jumping back into the studio together the end of June! so there's some news for you guys there.[...] - excerpt from AlohaWaveBabe's (LD) event review

With AJ and Nick busy with their solo albums and with BSB determined to start working on the new group album this year (@ the last fan event w/c is the London DLF fundraiser, Howie pretty much concurred with AJ's timeline that they'll be recording in the next few months), it looks like it'll be the same setup with NG/WH with the simultaneous recording of the various albums. Bri recorded a great deal of his album whilst BSB was recording NG and on days off on tour

And given that WH is not really a mainstream album, I gotta say I'm impressed by how Bri and his team are going about making his music available for as many fans worldwide as possible

Brian Bio By The 700 Club

He wanted his first solo album to be fueled by his personal, Christ-centered worldview. The CD, entitled Welcome Home, blends influences from Christian, inspirational and traditional Gospel music. His son, Baylee, makes a special appearance on the a capella song, Jesus Loves You written by Brian. "The songs represent who I am and what I believe," says Brian. "It's no secret: what you see is what you get. I couldn't be more proud to have the opportunity to share this music, both with the church and with longtime BSB fans alike... I hope this record is a chance to give something back. Most importantly, I hope I can do something that opens doors and benefits lives."

Uh oh! The Carters are indeed invading your TV sets!

Quote:
Carter Reality Series Among New E! Slate

Pop singers Nick and Aaron Carter are coming to E! Entertainment Television in a reality series focusing on their unwieldy family.

"The Carters" is one of several shows for the upcoming season that the cable channel will announce Monday.

Other shows include a series examining the seven deadly sins from a Hollywood point of view and a countdown of the sexiest celebrities. They will join a schedule that includes the next installment of "The Simple Life" as well as returning series "The Girls Next Door," among others.

E!'s new series:

= "The Carters," an eight-part half-hour series that follows Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, his younger brother, pop singer Aaron, and their three sisters as they live together, work and plan their futures. For the past decade, the siblings have been living disparate lives, and Nick Carter now wants to bring them back together. It premieres in the fall.

"It's a touching dramatic story, but there's real conflict because it's a family of five with a lot of things to work out," Harbert said.

"The Carters" - Reality Show

E! Entertainment Television will launch a reality series about Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, his younger brother and fellow pop singer Aaron, and their three sisters as part of a handful of reality shows debuting in the coming months.

The Carters, from producers Rob Lee (Bravo's Blow Out) and J.T. Taylor (MTV's The Osbournes), will follow the oft troubled siblings as they live together in a house with eldest Nick taking care of the others. The eight-episode half-hour series will join E!'s schedule this fall.

Sounds good... And "No Bob and No Jane" is awesome lol! This may just have a chance of getting the Carter sibs back on track I like Blow Out and how that's presented so that bodes well This has been waiting to break out for months with Aaron and Leslie posting about it on their Myspaces with some talking on AC's part (to Nick's chagrin, he tried to shut him up on the paparazzi videographers outside a nightclub a few months ago). Some background Carter info so the premise of the show makes sense:

Bob and Jane divorced in late '03. Twins Aaron and Angel take dad's side. Leslie takes mom's side. I don't know what side BJ is on lol! Nick most probably sympathizes with Bob but hasn't taken a side publicly which is smart and has doused cold water on Jane's attempts to stir up some more drama in an attempt to get some more money off AC and her own Carter TV show pitch [more. It's not hard to imagine that having the most well known family member taking sides would result in a pointless word war. So yeah, lots of drama...

And why a reality TV show? The way I see it is, no matter how big their differences are, one thing the Carters have in common is they all love the spotlight lol! We know how he is, no need to explain about AC Angel did some modeling, Leslie cut a cd a looong time ago and is trying to restart the music thing (relocated to Toronto with her band and all!). And BJ... Well, she did get herself in the news by getting into trouble (although not recently), at least it can be said that one of those times it was actually because she was sticking up for Angel lol! And Nick, he grew up in the biz, I don't think he knows any different... So yeah, what better way than to get them together than have a reality TV show about them all

Personal wish list:
- A good deal of footage of Nick recording his second album...
- Prankster NC pulling one on AC 'cause you know he deserves it haha!

I went to DLS and browsed Canadian fan discussions for the answer lol! The major Canadian release (availability in HMV, Walmart, big music stores) won't be until June 27th. But there are fans who got it from the Blessings chain (probably import versions from the States), just go to Blessings.com and do a store locator search for your area

Another alternative is buying it online...
Welcome Home [IMPORT] (practically the same price as the local release would be)

Welcome Home (special offer for int'l fans)
http://www.musichristian.com/refer/l...PRODUCT=168679

Hope that helped As for me, I'll do my own snooping on the local store tom
