I really like Lover, I Don't Have To Love. It's such a seductive song. I haven't heard anything else by Bright Eyes though, any recommendations?

I love Bright Eyes.

Butterflyz, check out "If Winter Ends", "An Attempt to Tip The Scales", "A Line Allows Progress, A Circle Does Not" "Waste of Paint" "From A Balance Beam" and "A Perfect Sonnet". Those are a few of my favorites.

I love Bright Eyes with all of my sad, lonely heart.
Conor Oberst is such an amazing songwriter. The poetry of his lyrics moves me beyond description.
I love just sitting and listening to Bright Eyes and quite often it makes me cry.
'No Lies, Just Love' is a perfect example of one of his songs which makes me cry.

conor has such great lyrical and poetic talent. he makes the saddest, most heart-wrenching things sounds so eloquent and beautiful. i wish i had that kind of skill.

i love "if winter ends"
"nothing get crossed out"
"waste of paint"
and
"don't know when but a day is gonna come"
the best.

oh, and his tour starts in january. anyone planning on going?
the dates can be found on http://www.saddle-creek.com

I know exactly what you mean. I wish I could do that, too.

i've been having such a hard time writing lately. i guess i'm just not inspired. but you know when you want to be inspired so much that you begin to kind of make yourself think you are? and then whatever you write sounds completely terrible and a waste of paper.

i'm like that right now. and i know what i want to write about, too. i want to write about the winter, but my hand isn't writing the words.

yeah i know what you mean. although, when i'm writing it sounds ok, but when i go back it just sounds terrible

i'd like to write about anything. just to write.
i hope you find your inspiration again, soon

thanks <333

so, back onto the topic of bright eyes...

i was always wondering... do you guys think he's been through a lot in his life? like, sadness-wise and the feelings he expresses in his songs. 'cause he's so young and still able to capture all those emotions. i think i read once that he writes about other people's experiences, but i don't know... it seems so realistic.

yeah, i've read that he writes about other people's experiences, as well.
i'm sure a lot of what he writes, would come from what he feels himself. but some of it is probably from other people, too. because i'm a firm believer that in all art, the artist doesn't need to necessarily experience something themselves to make their art convincing.
