I like those greens. That seems to be the one color we haven't really used, and I think could work really well.

And I like the idea of generic music mediums like records and cassettes, etc. Artists would be hard because everyone would want someone different and we couldn't satisfy everyone.

We seem to be on the right track though.

Yes I totally agree Jess you are right about using vinyls and cassette and cd's and muaic symbols for a banner since Music artists would be harder due to everyone's different musical tastes.

While I completely agree with not using specific artists, what about silhouettes of people singing? Or is that still risky since they might look like certain artists?

the first two schemes have a couple of different colours that we might be able to mix and match with (or use them to find similar ones that work).

we kind of have that already with the current one, but I know there's only so much variety we can have for a general music board.

Looking at the current banner, I'm pretty sure that the Apple iPod ad that we have in there would be trademark/copyright too so maybe a little green Spotify logo would be okay if it was obscured a little?

I can't see the Apple logo in your current graphic? If there is one then it was obviously missed when we made that graphic. Any images used may be from an ad, but hopefully the team member acquired the picture legally but I don't think Apple can trademark an image of someone listening to a music device (I could be wrong on that though). Then it still doesn't show the Apple logo which is the main concern.
As it is a legal issue & we don't want to get in trouble, the team will not knowingly use trademarked symbols/logos of known products/brands including Apple, Spotify, Google (E.G. Google Play), YT, ect. regardless of if they're obscured or not.

Well boards are never just one colour, but we've already had purple, so I wouldn't want that again.

Boards can be just one colour, just various shades (& white for the posting areas) We like it when there's more variation, or just me

So as the secondary colours to go with green do you prefer purples, pinks, blues, browns? A combination? Something else? A surprise?

I put together these using colours from the colour schemes in this thread (adding in more blue shades). How does the team using the/some of the greens with any or all of the other colours sound?
