Here's a place to discuss the best and worst cover songs you've heard.

Currently, the best I've heard is Will Hoge's "Ain't No Sunshine" originally covered by Bill Withers.

And the worst I've heard lately is Jessica Simpson's "These Boots Were Made For Walking." I loved Nancy Sinatra's version, and now Jessica just sorta squeaks out the lyrics.

I agree about Jessica's cover. It's a good song but her voice in it makes me want to cover my ears.

It's just that it's not really singing more than it is breathing out the words, ya know?

Not to bash on Jessica again, but her cover of "Take My Breath Away" wasn't that great either. I mean, it was classic! It was the theme from Top Gun after all! I think Jessica is very talented, but only with her own stuff.

I agree with the Jessica cover of "These Boots.." Very bad. Only good thing about it is that Willie Nelson is in the video (and probably on the record too).

I heart Jamie Cullum's cover of "Lover, You Should've Come Over". I think I like it better than the orginal. As for worst...most likely Jessica Simpson: "Take My Breath Away".

I really liked AFI's cover of NIN's "Head Like a Hole".

I know. I don't think she actually sings one time in the whole song. I forgot she did a cover of Take My Breath Away, I didn't like that one either.

I heard Tori Amos' cover of Smells Like Teen Spirit recently, which I hated.

I really like Johnny Cash- Hurt. That song breaks my heart.

I heard a cover of the Temptations Just My Imagination(Running away with me) I think it sounded like it was JC from NSync and someother chick. It was so horrid. I like how Eddie Kendricks sang it he had so much passion and feeling and then these people sang and they changed the words and it just sounded like a mess.

I heard that and it was mediocre. But the cover I heard her do that I was like "Wha?!" was her cover of Losing My Relgion. Wow was that bad. And I like Tori!

One of the worst covers has to be Uptown Girl by a boyband (Westlif? Or was it another band?) No one messes with Billy Joel's songs without getting from me.

One of the best in my opinion is Tom Jones - Kiss. Even better thatn the original by Prince.

Ugh, Suspicous Minds by the Fine Young Cannibals. You just do NOT mess with the King's music! There was also a rap version of In The Ghetto a few years ago. That just makes me so angry.
