Backstreet Boys Album 'Never Gone' Platinum; 'Incomplete' Certified Platinum Digital Single

The album was released June 14, 2005 and debuted on Billboard album chart at #3* in the U.S. Worldwide. The Backstreet Boys recently shot a video for their second single "Just Want You To Know." The vide treatment was written by Backstreet member Kevin Richardson during a flight back from Japan. Video director Marc Klasfeld was enlisted to direct the tribute to 80's hair-rock bands. Currently it is in XL rotation on VH-1, and can be seen on Music Choice and MTV HITS. The song "Just Want You To Know" was written and produced by longtime Backstreet Boys hitmaker Max Martin and Lukasz Gottwald.

This week "Just Want You To Know" is #23* on the Top 40 Monitor. It is top 5 phones at Z100 in NY and KIIS in Los Angeles, and has been added to Top 40 stations in Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington DC, Houston and Miami.

SEE?! That just proves the our Boys don't need MTV, and they just need their fans. MTV can shove their money up their a$$! I agree, it would be interesting for a newspaper or magazine to investigate MTV. MTV is so full of s**t! "TRL is all about the fans and what they want."

It's supposed to be the fans picking the video's to be played on the countdown, not what record companies give them the most money. Thats why I stopped watching TRL a few years ago. Now I hate MTV even more!

That's a great article. I just can't believe how snotty MTV is being. But whatever. They haven't had any good programing for quite a few years now. Now all you see is teenage girls and teenage guys either getting naked or getting laid. I thought they were 'all about the music?'

The Backstreet Boys are THE BEST, they have shown it trought the years and they still got it goin' on, they have the fans to prove it, they don't need a music network...

I agree with PuReDrEaMeR05, any artist now days has to be trashy to be famous, talent isn't a priority.

About the MTV thing...MTV sucks.. a long time ago they're choosing music they want us to hear, where's the freedom? I mean, TRL is just a big joke, they make you choose videos from a list they make, if they REALLY want to listen to the fans, there shouldn't be a list, that's just what I think.

Another thing, I want to be added to the list please

From what I've heard it's just American MTV. I know for a fact that Europe probably plays them non stop. That country is so pop friendly it's insane

I went the bsb concert in chicago... and it was very awesome... I really enjoyed the concert... the guys did good.......

screw MTV..... they want to continue to play crappy music.... well Bsb doesnt have to be part of their crapfest,

I agree with everyone else, MTV sucks. Plain and simple. I've had a theory (and still hold it to this day) that the really talented artists/bands aren't the ones getting played on every radio station or topping the charts on MTV. I mean, don't get me wrong, some of the bands that MTV plays I like, but at least for me, the ones that I really like, my all time favorites, are usually never the ones getting played. I don't mind it though cuz like the title says, all you really need is the fans. MTV and all the other crap is just a side. The fans are what really matter

And that goes with with all bands/artists, not just BSB.

You're right. The European fans are the most carziest and die hard music fans. They want new music like every week.

Plus...u can tell how much they love music..by their loud cheering and sing alongs. For example...they sang along the words of IWITW when the boys sang on CD UK.

Plus MTV's comment about them not wanting pop music to make a huge comeback is a load of crock...if Nsync came back...they wouldn't say that. For some stupid reason..they favor nsync more than BSB...and because of that...they don't play their vids. (if that is still the real reason)
