Hi guys. I have never started a thread before. I just got a mini iPod, and I figured we should start up a thread for people who own or want an iPod. But ... don't take this as advertising. I am simply showing my adoaration for the product. So, let's talk iPod.

I love my iPod!!! Greatest invention ever, next to TiVo. I have a regular 40GB one. So sadly I couldn't get it in a pretty color. Oh well. It did go crazy on me once, but I just restarted it when I got home and it's worked fine ever since.

I want to get one (when I have some more money) And so for those who have mp3 players I have some questions.

I was also looking at the Dell Music Jukebox. Does it matter which one I get? And how easy is it to transfer music to the ipod? My computer is pretty new Dell.

Plus do you find that you dl songs from the net more or get the real cd?

I brought a mini iPod and .......

One problem for anyone still using Windows 98 you can not install the iPod software as they require Windows 2000 SP4 or XP

So well I've got to upgrade my software

My uncle in the States has got me a silver mini iPod because they're hard to come by in the UK, not to mention more expensive. The downside is I have to wait till he comes over next month before I can get my hands on it.

That's strange as I've got the silver one and there were heaps in stock at my Apple Centre in Perth, Western Austaralia I must of been somewhat lucky.

I'm getting my Windows updated so hopefully soon I'll be able to use my iPod

I bought a 20GB iPod before my trip to the USA - I hummed and hahed about getting one before I went as I knew they'd be cheaper over there, but I wanted to load it up and listen to music on my travels.

BUT - when I got there they were almost HALF what I paid here which was a bit annoying. A friend of mine got a 40GB for the same price as a 20 over here. When I go back I'll bring one back for a friend of mine.

I'd be really mad if that happened to me. The Mini iPod is only about £40 cheaper in the US from what I've seen but I'd rather get it there than pay UK prices. Besides, what I'm saving is going towards my XP upgrade!

I have a pink mini. It's gorgeous and the best invention ever. I'm kind of worried I'll fill it up one day since it's only 3.7 gigs, but it's not even half way full yet. I've got like 300 songs on it.

What I love the most is that I can have like every CD I own on one device. CD players and a little CD case thing are so clunky and annoying.

I got mine as a birthday present like the week they came out. And I have a $15 iTunes gift cetificate (somewhere) that I haven't used yet. Once I find something I really want though, I'll use it. The pain with that is that you don't actually have the CD, so if it's like something I really want I'd rather run down to Best Buy and pick it up. The iPod itself is sheer genius though. I reccommend everyone run out and buy one like now.
