| 2004 Grammy Noms announced Seems like it'll be a good competition this year. Kanye West, who is, suprise, a rapper I actually like is up for a handful of awards, as is Maroon 5! Squee! | Bah. I know Franz Ferdinand aren't as big in the States as they are in the UK, but seriously, one nom for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or a Group? Take Me Out is insanely better than Somebody Told Me so how they weren't nominated for Best Rock Song is beyond me. Bah. The other nominees aren't -too- bad though (could be worse considering it's the Grammy's). Glad Green Day got some props. Not the biggest fan of Joss Stone (although I did enjoy her cover of Fell In Love With a [Boy]) but I'd take her voice over Avril or Britney. The only thing that would make me happier than seeing Franz win their one catagory would be to see Joe Strummer and Johnny Cash win for Redemption Song, God rest their souls. __________________ I'm a dirty little dancewhore | |||

What i'm looking forward to most at this years Grammys is Kanye's reaction to awards he doesn't win. I remember him flipping out at the AMA's because he didn't win "Best New Artist". I give him props for that, alot of artists would like to react more like that when they lose something they really thought they should win but their PR guys would go crazy. | |||

| I'm amazed that Franz Ferdinand was even nominated. That's awesome! And I love the Killers too, so that's awesome. "Float On" is a great song, just overplayed. And I love U2 and Elvis Costello too so a lot of the nominations are actually pretty decent. Last year I don't think there was a single nominee on there that I actually liked. | |||

| Yes for Greenday because I'm really, really liking American Idiot, although why Alicia Keys got so many nods is a shock to me because I don't think she's that great, the same with Norah Jones. Kanye West is definately talented; very arrogant but talented, I loved his Jesus Walks. I hope he gets his props and not Usher. Modest Mouse! *squeals* They are so cool. Although Float On isn't their best song by far "SACRIFICE THE LIVER" And Franz really deserved more, they are quite genius. | |||
