It's extremely hot here. I think today we got up to like 30ºC and that's just insane. We don't usually get that high until July-ish. And it's barely the beginning of June.

I'm tired

I'm literally falling asleep on my desk. I can barely keep my eyes open.

You're from Spain right? I went to Valencia last year in March and the weather seemed much nicer then.

Yeah I live in Valencia [it beats the last place I lived...England

] It's really nice here between March - May because it's just before it starts getting really hot so you can go around in a t-shirt but you don't feel like you're melting. I'm dreading this summer's temperatures

Yeah it was amazing over there! We were there just before the festival so got to see some of the floats being put up. So pretty.

There was a lot of construction in the main square though and they'd moved all the bus stops so it took me and my friend hours to get back everyday as our sense of direction is not good and we kept getting lost looking for the right bus.

You should of stayed during Fallas

I love Fallas, except I could do without the firecrackers being set off at 7am every morning, especially where I live.

Don't get me started on the buses in Valencia

I've lived here 6 and a half years and I STILL can't figure it out. Everyone keeps saying "Oh it's so simple!" Could of fooled me. lol.

We were there when they set the fireworks off in the afternoon everyday and they were loud! Pretty but loud

I wish we could have stayed but we were only there for a week with college. My old Spanish teacher used to live there and she was telling us all about it. It sounds amazing.

That's a long time! I'm glad we're not the only ones then.

We ended up getting off the bus one stop early as well and walking around the streets trying to find the right road.

Very, very confusing!

Ahh yes the 2pm fireworks outside the city hall

I've only been once and luckily it was with some friends that had an apartment looking right over the square so I got to watch from a balcony. I'd never go if I had to be squished in between so many people

But towards the end, we all ran in screaming and covering our ears...it gets so loud!!

Buses + Valencia = BAD.

Nothing else to say on that topic. Once I was with my sister and our 4 cousins, so basically I was in charge of a group of 8 - 13 year olds and i dragged them all around the centre looking for the bus cos once again, they were doing roadworks [they're ALWAYS doing bloody roadworks!!!]

Which is kinda awesome when you show up to a gig and they see you and pull you into a hug

Yeah it was pretty crowded, we watched them the one day and then heard them the rest of the time! So lucky you got to watch from a balcony, I could only just about see them with all the people there.

That sounds frustrating! Did you find it in the end?
There was a strike when we were there as well so we ended up having to work out when the buses would go/wouldn't, we were really late to the Spanish class that day.

Ah, I've not heard of them. Will youtube later.

Being in the crowd kinda sucks. Unless you're one of the nuts that get there suuuuper early. Otherwise all you see is other people's heads which is kinda dull. I normally just watch on TV cos really, if you've seen one...you've seen them all

Yes I did

eventually...Only took about 45 minutes of wondering around in a circle at 2pm in 35ºC in August! That's the last time I'll ever suggest taking the kids to the city of arts and sciences to see animals and go by train. Valencia really really sucks transportation-wise for going to the outskirts of the city. Even the metro only goes to the North, East and West. Apparently anything South of the centre is non-existant

Whereabouts did you stay?

YouTube WT's slow songs [Mainly, Memories and Frozen]. They're a rock band but their best videos are the ones for the ballads

Frozen makes me tear up everytime

Yeah we were told we should get there early but we were running late so it didn't happen! I didn't know it was on TV as well! Probably easier to see that way.

that's hot! I'm not surprised you won't go again.

I'm not sure where it was I stayed, it was about 20 minutes from the city centre I think. We needed to get bus 70 something to get back so wherever they lead to! The 2/3 hours it took us to get back seems slightly excessive, I really need to work on my geographic skills.

Listening to them now. So good!

I listened to Angel just before I read what you said and I love it!

I'm sure I've heard it somewhere else before as well, I didn't know they sang it. It's not usually my type of music but I really like it!
