We did! It was something I wished was addressed again, even though I know they did not have much time left in the season.

I'm sure whatever path he choose would have something to do with the science field. I mean he worked hard for years to get where he got I can't see if starting from scratch.

I saw him to make more the field he did in the LAB every case. Do more forensics like Brennan and the gang on real live cases, newly dead. He was there in the end to help with the last case even after Brennan discussed his future with him.

The others were taking more ancient bones fields. They were only interning in the lab. But I see Wendell being another member of the gang. Especially with his best bud Hodgins as "King of the Lab" while Cam was on maternity leave.

He studied and had a lot to lose if he walked away from all that study.

I can definitely see him enjoying being in the field. He was very personable so he would do well interacting with people.

I always thought that too. He seemed to really be at home whenever he went out in the field.

That was the real downside of so few episodes that last season. They wrapped some of the squints but Wendell's story had a question mark. Brennan questioned his passion for the field. But yet he was there in the end. He was very much one of the team, so I am curious what he would have done. Given his cancer battle. It made sense he was set back and it made him delay getting to the stage the others did so I wish we were able to get a more concrete path he was on...
