and she also said "I'm Bones" to correct Booth when he was confused after falling.
s1 Brennan wouldn't have done that either

The problem is they 'realize' it deep down but they can't accept it ...they keep trying to deny it, to suppress it. It's much safer that way. Though obviously the last episode did a great job of showing us how much they really do both want each other in every way but are just so afraid to take that leap.
