Since we're talking about Dep. Dir. Cullen/JMJ in the guest star thread I thought it would be a good idea to dig this up

What do you guys think about the development of his character over the season?

I'd like to point out how much his relationship with Brennan changed since the beginning. In the pilot Cullen didn't want her involved in the investigation and Booth had to point out why he wanted Brennan's help on Cleo's case. After experiencing how she works in "The girl in the graft", Cullen knows that she's not giving up before the case is solved and how important her work is. So his respect for her has gone up a notch IMO.

Some thread decoration:

glad you brought it up!

Cullen? I look at him as an FBI version of Goodman. they both care for their team. he knows Booth will stop at nothing to get the job done, and his relaitonship with Tempe? I agree about his respect growing for her. he knew b4 she was good at what she did, but seeing it on a more personal level, i.e. with regards to his daughter, I think he realizes she's more than just a 'squint in a lab', IMO.

I can tell you one thing - this guy is awesome!

Any JAG fans out there? I absolutely loved him as Admiral Chegwidden... I really missed his presence during the last season.

As if Bones wasn't already perfect for me... Having John M. Jackson in the series just tops it off!

Mr. Jackson is great. He takes one or two scenes and maybe half a dozen lines and creates an indelible character. He also has great "boss" chemistry with DB. I sincerely hope that he stays with "Bones" for the duration of the series.

Francie, yep. I think he was touched when he discovered that Booth had taken his sick days to work on Amy's case. And everything the Jeffersonian team did to help Amy and solve the case probably showed him that they're more than just Squints .

Yep From season 1 to 10. When I read that JMJ was guest staring in the Bones pilot it was another reason to watch the show .

MsJ, I agree with everything you said. I'm enjoying JMJ's work and hope we'll see more of him next season.

Btw did anyone ever watch him in "A few good men"? I have to admit that I never really noticed that JMJ was in it, but then, shortly after JAG started, I re-watched the movie and went like "Wait a minute, AJ Chegwidden with hair and mustache? " .

definately! when I see that scene with him and Booth when he finds out about the sick days, it warms my heart. the admiration they have for each other shows on their faces. right from David's small smile to JMJ's grin. they're coming together as a team, too.

you know what's funny? I never knew he'd be on it till I saw the pilot. for ocne, I think TBTB chose a good eprson for a supporting character. and JAG...? hmm, you're getting me into shows I once d! it's on here on the History Channel every week nite. maybe should watch it again...hehe

Francie, yep JMJ with hair, I actually had to rewind my tape to make sure (checked the credits either because it looked so strange ). You should try to catch some reruns Maybe you'll catch a good Chegwidden episode

Andie, you never saw "A few good men"? It's a bit like JAG at the movies Take a look at it some time, Tom Cruise is in it, but I actually like him in this role

I'll see if I can come up with some caps of JMJ in "A few good men".

Yep, Demi Moore, Kevin Bacon, Jack Nicholson, Noah Wyle (okay, he has a really small part ), Kiefer Sutherland, J. T. Walsh, Christopher Guest... JMJ is only in one scene at the beginning if I recall correctly.

ETA:
JMJ in "A few good men" - with mustache & hair:
