I don't think they could have lasted 12 years working together and not end up liking each other as some level of friendship.

I totally agree. They worked together for so long that if they didn't like each other it would have been tough to go to work every day.

David and Emily have awesome chemistry together!
 I hope they continue to be friends despite the fact that the show has ended. I hope one day they will work together again for another project in the future  |

I hope so, it seems they still keep in touch with each other
I remember Emily mentioned that David had texted her when he landed his new TV show and she congratulated him on it. I really hope they will work together again sometime in the future, it doesn't have to be Bones related, I'll be happy with anything if it means David & Emily get to work together again  |
