There was such a connection. I didn't watch from the beginning. And in the first episode that I watched. It was very apparent. And you wanted to see it unravel. And it was such a contrast, and fun to watch.

no because one of the things that made B&B's relationship so special on the show is the great chemistry between David and Emily. It wouldn't be the same if the characters had been played by different actors...
