First off, I love this episode for SO many reasons. 1) of course we had Gordon Gordon, which makes me love an eppy, 2) we had some AMAZING Booth and Bones bickering, 3) we had some cute Angela and Hodgins stuff, including the Cleopatra bed scene, 4) I even liked Cam and how she’s been acting the past two eppies and her reaction to Jack and Angela, and 5) I loved the religion angle as more conflict between Booth and Brennan. Overall just a great episode.
at Zach asking the priest if he was one of those priest who smacks kids with rulers. Gotta love Zachie, always. “We obviously have issues” scene oh the bickering and the tension was t-totally awesome. Very obvious how much they are just fighting off their attraction. Booth: I'm not working the whole case with you attacking my beliefs, maybe you should of sailed off with your boyfriend. Brennan: Funny - a man who believes in an invisible superbeing, wants to run my personal life. Zack: Death would of followed quickly coused by cerebral trauma. Booth: By the way 90% of the world! Believes in God. Brennan: And at one time most people where certain that the sun revolved around earth. Booth: You see what I mean. I don't think that this is about religion at all. We obviously have issues. Okay. That are effecting our working relationship. And you are afraid to deal with them so you just lash out at my religion. Brennan: Can't you be satisfied that if I am wrong about God I will just burn in hell? Booth: Oh thats tempting. Brennan: Good. Now how about we get back to work. I think we both still want to find out how killed this man. And Brennan and Booth were just spot on, on the bickering, all night. I just loved it. Father: Have you ever heard of the sin of pride young woman? You could be wrong. Booth: Dr Brennan. She’s the best in her field. Priest talked a bit more, then … Brennan: Aren’t you a little proud yourself? Booth (behind his hand) Knock it off Brennan (behind her hand too) What – the rules don’t apply to him? at their little snipes behind their hands at each other. But yet, he still stood up for her to the priest. Booth always does. Booth: We’re definetly not working well together <her complaining about him being bossy> Booth: Bones, just come with me to go see Dr Wyatt just once <more talk> Booth: Are you so threatened that you can’t even do a favor for someone you call a friend? Brennan: I will speak my mind, Booth, I will speak my mind Booth: Okay And that smile he had. The therapy session? Oh wow, I loved it. The way they were bickering, and the way she waved her chicken or whatever in Booth’s face. And poor Booth, he kept on and on about Gordon Gordon: You aren’t fighting about religion Brennan: But that’s what booth said Gordon Gordon: Religion provided the flash point for an underlying issue And we ALL know what that was! Sheesh, that was a great scene. Then when Booth took Angela instead of Brennan to the church mass … Angela: Shouldn’t Brennan be here with you instead of me? Booth: We’re taking time apart (or something like that) Angela: Trouble in Paradise? Booth: Just spending some time apart. Now if you'd let me pray... Angela: So you slept together? Booth: Do you see where we are? We're in church! What does that lab do to you people? Angela: It's just, it feels like a couples thing. And with Sully gone …. Booth: It's not. It's a work thing. And you and me here, that's a work thing too, so let's stay focused. (I think I got that all in the right order) And it was just great! Angela knows there is something more going on. Period. And Angela knows something is going on with Booth and Brennan. I love it! Angela: Have you noticed anything going on between Booth and Brennan Jack: Sounds good Angela: There’s tension - <something more, but you get the point> And how Gordon Gordon just kept spot on reading Booth the whole episode. Gordon Gordon: See thumbs in the belt, very aggressive stance, very male. Booth crosses his arms Gordon Gordon: Crossed arms, defensive He uncrosses them. Gordon Gordon: Disdain Gordon Gordon: What you must do is recognize your negative feelings for what is Dr Brennan’s domain and verbalize Booth: Now? And at the way that Booth got going on about the place, about all that stuff! Gordon Gordon: Your problem with Dr. Brennan is that you don't know what will or will not catch fire or where you stand. Booth: What? <unconsciously his thumbs go back into his belt?> the provocative belt buckle! And then Gordon Gordon patted him as he walked away! Oh such a GREAT scene! And the interview with the identifier/parishioner who had been selling the jewelry etc. They just KEPT bickering and it is great. I just love all this tension. After Brennan’s comment about Zues etc, Booth threw her out! Booth: Thanks, Bones, I can take it from here. Brennan: You’re kicking me out? Then she muttered something about Dr Wyatt’s psychology not working. And at that. Loved it. Brennan’s private conversation with Gordon Gordon: Brennan: Booth kicked me out of here. Gordon Gordon made a comment. Then, Brennan: Domain. Yes. He’s good at questioning people. He can tell when they’re lying, etc. <more> I’ve learned a lot from him Gordon Gordon: But? Brennan: <more> Booth likes to say there are more things in heaven and earth, Bones than are dreamt in your science … <more talk> Gordon Gordon: If you’re so uncomfortable here, why do you come? Brennan: Because something goes on in here, he does something <more> Gordon Gordon said something I missed …. Brennan: Yes Gordon Gordon: So that you can do it without Booth, so that you don’t need him anymore? Brennan: No Gordon Gordon: No? Brennan: No. I just want to observe. Gordon Gordon: If you just wanted to observe, surely you’d just do on the other side of the mirror. Yet you insist upon being in this room, with him, out of your element. Brennan: Observation isn’t simply seeing, Dr. Wyatt. It’s experiencing. Ideally I’d be inside Booth’s head, seeing and feeling things the way he does, then I might understand. Gordon Gordon: Be one with him? Brennan: In a scientific sense. Gordon Gordon’s little nod Brennan’s phone rings Brennan: Booth needs me. That little moment at the end sooo reminded me of when Gordon Gordon first met Booth, and Brennan kept calling him, and he basically told Gordon Gordon that his Bones needed him, over and over. Brennan: Can we take this with us, or do we need to serve a warrant on God? That later scene, at the little diner, and their quarreling was so great! Gordon Gordon: Quarreling? Yes of course you are. I’m here to put right what has been rent asunder. <more talk> Gordon Gordon: Your both afraid that the reason Dr Brennan didn’t sail off into the sunset with her boyfriend Sully might have been because of her ties to Agent Booth. Your both quite wrong. Then an explanation about her not having a purposeless life, therefore not being able to let go. When Gordon Gordon left … Booth: You uh … feel anything Brennan: Feel? Booth: You must feel something Brennan: I do. You know what I feel? Father Matt has been sick a long time …. Then they figured it out and both: We’re back. We’re back! And they hi-fived! Then Brennan explained to Angela that Angela: It’s wasn’t? Brennan explained more Angela: So you believe that? Brennan more explaining. Angela: <sarcastically> Right. Brennan: And our working relationship has definetly improved. Brennan, to Gordon Gordon: Booth and I have to put our notes together for the prosecutor Gordon Gordon: And so your Booth, you making any further assume about each other? Brennan: No. no assumptions thanks. And at Angela’s reference to Gordon Gordon being Monte Python and how he was full of it on his analysis of Booth and Brennan, and that the real reason Brennan didn’t go with Booth was because of Booth. Angela is convinced. And then, in the background, Booth pulled up and Brennan climbed into the car to go “put their notes together”. Yep. Angela was just saying what we all already knew. But of course, Booth and Brennan weren’t ready to here that, and therefore it played out the way it did. But we all KNOW Angela was right … and it was proven when Brennan left instantly to be with Booth, and climbed in his car. __________________

Definitely one of my favorite episodes, the banter was great and it all flowed well. Dr. Wyatt is a great character, hope we see some more of him.

Brennan : ‘’That’s concrete, cement is an ingredient in concrete.’’ Booth : ‘’ Yeah that’s a real important distinction to make.’’ But when the hunt for a killer leads to Booth’s abduction. (narrator) Booth : ‘’ You are the first guys to get the drop of me in 10 years.’’ Bones will need the help of someone even more ruthless. (narrator) Bones’ dad : ‘’ Hi honey!’’ Dear old dad is back (narrator) Bones : ‘’Stop that!’’ **With a vengeance** (narrator) Bones’ dad : ‘’If this bothers you... maybe you should go.’’ Bones.. All new, one week from tonight. ** With some upbeat tempo song in the background, from begining ‘til the end ** I sure did some mistakes, but I hope you'll still understand what I wrote! |

Wonderful episode; so many great moments between not only Booth and Bones, but also between them and the other characters; the interaction was wonderful among the cast. I can't wait until next weeks episode. I'm going to re-watch the episode and watch it tomorrow after work __________________

This episode was all about relationships. We had the obvious ones with Booth and Brennan, Hodges wanting a "move in with me relationship" and the relationships between the priests and others. The young teen boy saw his priest friend as a substitute father, someone who really cared for him while outsiders saw the situation in a less positive light. The woman in the church misinterpreted the relationships she saw at the church. How couples or people in general act outwardly in public can be interpreted in many ways depending on who is doing the interpreting. It was good to see Booth and Brennan get "Counseling" to help them understand their "feelings".
