When she first mentioned stakeout I was like huh? Why would she be on a stakeout with Booth? I think it's funny that he doesn't think whatever they did counts as "sex".

I'm glad they mentioned Drew too. I'm surprised Brennan didn't since she didn't know about them being on a break.

The chance to write about a three-timing cheat getting his due in a tub of corrosive goo just doesn’t come along every day. There’s sex, murder, suicide, and most of all – deceit.

Thematically, this story explores the extent to which we all lie on some level – be it to one another or to ourselves. Booth lies to Brennan (and himself) about his ability to handle a casually-sexual relationship with his ex. Our victim lies to his two wives, his mistress, and his boss, while lying to himself about being able to juggle three lives. And the women in our victim’s life lie to themselves, seeing only what they want to see, with regard to the man of their dreams who rarely seems to be home.

The episode serves as a darkly-comic breather, while soothing old hurts between Booth and his ex, which helps to reset the bar of sexual tension between Booth and Brennan. And when Booth eases that tension with his old flame Cam, we set the table for many lies to come as the season progresses.

Interesting read, especially the last sentence, I guess we're in for more lies to come... not sure what to think about that little tidbit

I am surprised them went there by Booth really bouncing between one ex to the next ex LOL. We needed to see Rebecca. It was interesting. I did like Brennan seemed to get to Rebecca, and they had a nice talk.

Truly a gross body discovering LOL

Yeah, one of the most digusting, and they were able to come up with some creative scenes. But yeah, that body....

For someone who thinks sex has to mean something. The idea he would be intimate with both of his ex's in a span of a few days was at odds for Booth. Even if he did have a past with both of them.

Nice scene between Rebecca and Brennan. Brennan was looking out for Booth in trying to get Rebecca to reassure Booth that he was a good father...

That was weird that he was intimate with both of them so shortly. I never thought of it like that.

I know that season they were giving both of them love interests to compare and contrast their bond as you could see they were definitely starting to feel different, and yet couldn't go there yet.

But just seems so weird for Booth. Even if they were both his ex's. And Cam especially given she just went through a push and pull over her arrival with Brennan. Given he has a view of "love and sex".

Of course he's not going to be a munk. But still weird...

Now Brennan, she would have no problems with sex like that. But Booth. He treated relationships differently. Given we didn't really see another one of his until Hannah.

I know what you mean. They were starting to feel differently towards each other but it was too soon for them to do anything about it.

It was weird for Booth, not so much Brennan. We had seen Brennan treat sex like that but not so much Booth.

Maybe it was start of of him being out of sorts. Probably out of his attraction for his partner that they couldn't speak of, and now getting back with his ex's in quick succession. And why eventually he needed to see Dr. Wyatt. So, he was masking a lot. But yeah, given his feelings of love and sex. It seems weird. Even if they were both his ex's...

That’s a good point. He probably was unraveling and dealing with a lot of attraction that he was trying to represe.

They address it later, but when you think about his choices over those months probably why he was acting out in ways that were not him.
