Bones 2x04 - "The Blonde in the Game" Episode Discussion (airing 09/20/2006)

Quote:
2x04 "The Blonde in the Game"

Moments after Booth and Brennan unearth the skeletal remains of a young girl, it becomes clear they aren’t dealing with just any murder case. Hodgins, Zack and Cam confirm this back at the lab when they discover that the cause of death points straight to Howard Epps, a convicted serial killer who has been on death row for years; Brennan’s previous testimony in his case gave Epps a stay of execution. Booth interrogates Epps, seemingly to no avail, but after finding a clue on the deceased girl that leads them to another young body – this one only a week old – they realize that Epps is forcing them to play a deadly game. As the body count rises, Brennan and her team scramble to decipher Epps’ cryptic clues in a desperate effort to find his cold-blooded accomplice. The team is pushed even further when it is revealed that the latest victim may still be alive, with only hours left to live. As precious seconds tick away, Brennan and her team must test their limits and confront their fears to save a young girl from becoming a victim in "The Blonde in the Game" episode of BONES airing Wednesday, Sept. 20 8/7c only on FOX!

Yes, this eppy sounds very promising!

ETA: I've been seeing, actually and surprisingly, lots of promos this week for the eppy. And I'm getting more and more excited, with an "old enemy" from last season, that first had us getting into Booth and Brennan and how they could be torn between wrong and right. I still remember how Bones had said that even though finding the multiple bodies at the end of that eppy meant Epps wouldn't get life for a while, that those victims she and Bones had found, deserved identification and a trial and all that.

Good luck in the playoffs ... carry these statistics throughout and you'll be nearly impossible to beat!

I'm very curious to find out what they mean by "confront their fears." This ought to be very interesting.

You know, I missed that whole bit of the description. Guess I was too stuck on the history of Epps and Bones and Booth and all. Should be VERY good, then, yes?

Well, uh, FYI, less than 30 minutes here, until the eppy, and I'll more than likely be posting as it airs, random comments here and there during the commericial breaks, if I can, then a more well organized review at the end!

Bones saying to clear the area, secure it in the opening scene, and Booth just cutely repeats her, like HE'S in charge, when it's obvious Bones knows what she's doing and not the other way around. God I love these two.

And HODGEY? Oh wow ... just opening the scene and it's always ALWAYS amazing ... I love this show!

"I'm sure Dr Brennan will be happy to re-break it for you." - Booth ... god I love how protective he is of Bones, and all in the same time, how uh ... much faith he has in her abilities.

And did I just get that right ... that Booth had apparantly suggested to Hodges and the gang that they get Bones her pet pig Jasper? Oh, now that is LOVE!

Uh ... the scene where Bones shows Booth the little St Agnes metal? And he expresses his concern over the case? Were they uh well awfully comfortable with one another? LOVE IT! Was that at someone's apartment, with that couch? Or am I right in thinking it was her little loft like lounge at the Jeffersonian? Anyhow, no matter, they were so cozy, her laying on the couch, him sitting on the end, just talking.

And Booth at the catholic school telling the nun he was trustworthy and a catholic!

Oooooooo and how just utterly creepy was it that Epps kept ogling Bones? And how he said he'd think of her while he was uh ... donating? <ugh> But good ole Booth was all protective of her, yanking Epps' chain and whopping him on the table, and then Bones did the same!
