Honestly I love the fact that Brennan didn't tell booth about the book
she just didn't want him to see it was dedicated to him until
it came out. Very sneaky

I think this was one of the first episodes I watched. A incredible finale. You really got a look at Brennan's troubled family. Meeting Russ.

I always love the scene when Booth realized who the woman is, and he immediately calls court and says Brennan won't be available. He already knew her so well...

Emily really shined in the episode. The hurt, and devastation Brennan felt when it finally hit her just how much of her life, she hadn't known.

And then the big twist at the end with her father.

This episode is not only one of my favorites of season one, but one of my favorites period. One I can re watch many times.

And a glimpse that you knew the show had come into it's own, and was now opening up other characters and providing a glimpse. And gave us answers into Brennan's history, and yet opened a lot more question that only more seasons were able to answer. But it all started with this one.

And the team was all in on solving it. Despite the pain that discovery would bring to Brennan, but she needed answers.

It added something to Brennan to know. And to find her brother, and actually start to reconcile with him.

And how Booth was totally there for her... Love them together. It showed their bond.

And even in the lighter moments when Booth was questioning others about Brennan's new book. It's definitely on my all time favorite BONES list.

I love this episode. We found out what happened to Brennan's mother. I love that Brennan and Russ came back together and then the big reveal from Max at the end of the episode.

And thus began Max's return to their lives. Emily really shined in the episode. It was such a one two punch for Brennan. Going from now answers, and then all these that totally destroyed any memories she did have of her life as she had to get used to a new history while hanging on the one constant in her life. Her name, which she has made something off despite the revelation that wasn't the name she was given at birth.

Thankfully Booth and the gang was there for her... And then she was able to get her brother back, and start a new type of relationship with him now that they were older.

Emily's acting was so great in this episode. Brennan was experiencing things, learning things she never thought she would.
