The preview was so intense but I cannot believe how tragic!
They just flipped things around on us and made everything different.
They weren't kidding when they said they were going to step things up SWEETS!!!!

ive read all the post interviews, i understand why he wanted to leave.. but was killing really the way to go??? i am still in shock. i was not prepared for that. first vincent, now sweets.. those writers really know how to kill fan favorites off the show in a dramatic/emotional/heartbreaking way. i dont know how daisy (or anyone) was able to do thier jobs directly after his death.

I just finished watching the episode and I still have tears streaming down my face I just can't believe it why Sweets just why!!!! I am in shock I just thought he would always be around

This was such an intense episode so lovely moments with BB and Christine
Loved their hug when he got out and Bones showing him round their new house and their intimate reunion also Christine falling asleep on Booth was so sweet

Also I am loving how badass Bones was more so than usual she was stopping at nothing to get Booth out and how she took control and got the team moving

I love that Daisy is having Lance's baby we will have a mini Lance but he will never know his father which breaks my heart

Booth in prison was hard to see especially when he got beaten up Booth is a changed man but he is bound to be with his faith in the FBI gone and being inside for 3 months I just hope we get some of the old Booth back in time

I will never be OK with what they did to Sweets it killed me

I loved this episode! I just missed the show so much!

I can't believe Sweets' gone, I really didn't have no idea!!! I was shocked and speechless! They really did a good job writing this episode, it was so sad and dramatic, and the fact the one of them is dead just makes it even more powerful and intense!
I will miss Lance so much though, but I liked how they managed his death.

The whole episode had such a strong atmosphere and the fact that the conspiracy SL has not been resolved yet (just like when Bones was freed from blame on 8x01) it's a good catch imo. I hope they will make it last as much as possible.

And this dark Booth is going to be very interesting to follow.

I also loved BB scenes, so sweet and intimate!

This season is going to be great!

I agree , yes John is very busy directing a movie. Why couldn't he be " promoted" to private sector like oversees . Thus it would leave open a return . My show Criminal Minds had one of the lead female actresses leave the show two years ago. Didn't kill her off she's returned several times for special appearances. See Fox it is easy not to kill anyone off ..

That ending was definitely the saddest ending I have ever seen during the last 9 years I really didn't see that coming, I called my mum right after it ended to ask if she had been watching. She was just as shocked, and then asked me ”Did you cry”?, to which I said "Yes, a little bit. My mum cried too!

After reading some of the post interviews, it sounds like it was a joint decision and I'm alright with that! I'll for sure be missing Sweets, but I wish JFD the best of luck in his new endeavors!

All in all an amazing episode, and everyone nailed it

You know, even if Sweets death was the saddest thing ever, I think it was somehow needed.
The show had to be improved and its "look and feel" needed to be shaken in a way or another, if you know what I mean, and if they had just promoted Lance and sent him overseas they would had not get the same result as with his death.

It was a shocking event, no one saw it coming and the drama that it will cause will be amazing both in a bad, tragic way and in a "good" way (good because I think that the main SL will be great this year).

Changing BB house (which I love by the way) wasn't enough to modernize the show, I appreciated the courage they had with killing one of theirs... And I expect a lot from now on!

Also, the ending scene, with such an angsty music and the general dismay everybody felt, was tragically beautiful (even if it's not likely that they let some friends doing another friend's autopsy, I will pretend that it's plausible...).

I haven't been *so* into Bones for years, and with this premiere they totally got me!
