I will always miss Sweets. I know they chose to kill Sweets off because JFD was working on writing different projects.

I heard it was the actor JFD himself who wanted his character Sweets to die on the show because he wanted Sweets to leave the show in a "spectacular way" that would make a significant impact, and killing him certainly did that.
