I know. I have to admit, it's a close one for me. But this ending was insanely amazing and with the promises for next season this holds, it easily wins.

My 3 favorite shows all had incredible endings. From a wedding (CHUCK AND SARAH ARE MARRIED!!!), to a passionate declaration of love (OMG, I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE CASTLE ACTUALLY TOLD HER HE LOVES HER!!), to a baby and an admission of a relationship (BOOTH AND BONES ARE HAVING A BABY!!! THEY'RE GOING TO BE IN A RELATIONSHIP!!) I would say I had a pretty amazing finale week.

You survived the week Hann.:D

I just ever expected Brennan to tell Booth she was pregnant with his baby. It was just so amazing.

Oh hell no 05-22-2011 09:54 AM

that was just... :jaw_drop: I mean, they make us wait 6 years and then a baby?? Honestly, I didn't even get that they'd had sex until she dropped that bomb. I thought that Brennan was just being herself, stating the facts and making poor Angela think something happened when actually it didn't. Makes me feel kind of disappointed though. Six years and then all we get is a little cuddling? But, anyway that really was an amazing finale...

Can an ending of a finale be both amazing and disappointing? You bet! That's how I would describe the Bones ending (the episode itself was very ordinary, except for the Hodgela stuff which was funny and touching). So I agree with your screen name, it kinda describes how I feel too. But the fact is we got what we got, and we can't change it, unless there are flashbacks, and I'm not holding out a lot of hope for that. So I've decided I'm not going to look back and be upset, I'm going to look forward and be happy. (I know that doesn't work for everyone, just speaking for myself here).

At least we know there are many exciting and sweet moments ahead as BB navigate their way through this new relationship with a baby on the way. Are we going to get all the lovey-dovey affection we want? Maybe not, but for sure we'll get more that we did in season six. How can we not? BB are having a baby and they love each other!

So I think there are still many 'firsts' waiting for us---the first "I love you", the first hormonal episode, the first doctor visit, the first time Brennan worries she won't be a good mom, the first time the 'baby kicks'; all the changes that will happen to 'Mama Bones'. So many wonderful firsts to look forward to! We may not have seen the 'before', but we are going to be there for the rest of it, and that is something to be excited about.

spunks, I love the way you are thinking. Especially this -

even if you didn't like it, you do have to get on with it to continue with the show. Thanks for being positive even if you didn't enjoy it:hug:

I like that line of thought too. :) There are things I didn't like either but I'm thrilled at what's coming next. And even though this wasn't the best season so far it had many good moments.

Next season is going to be AWESOME. :D

hann 05-22-2011 08:43 PM

I like that thinking a lot spunks :) Unfortunately (or should I say fortunately) the running of this show is not up to the fans. The season finale is what we got, and I think everyone has to admit it's been better than previous season finales.

I love the direction the show is going to take after this. And I think we'll have a lot to see, even if we didn't get what some *think* we should have got. This seems like a good natural progression for these two in my opinion. Nothing about them is ordinary or conventional so why make the next step of their relationship 'normal?'

your creation 05-23-2011 01:24 AM

I like it, the more I think about it, the more I cannot actually see them agreeing to go on a date or saying I Love You with nothing big happening. Baby is the big thing we got to put these things in motion:D

I 100% agree with this Effie. They were never the couple that was going to be seen in that first steps of a relationship being all lovey-dovey. We've had 6 years of 'dates' and moments that are crucial in relationships, even if they weren't in a full-fledged relationship at the time. I really think it just proves even more that TPTB knew what they were doing with every minute of screen time BB has gotten.

And I really believe we'll get even more next season. It still may not be all the date-y moments, but we'll see them truly in a relationship, no matter how differently they do it, because our couple is different. (and maybe it's a way to really boink the Moonlighting curse ;) )

your creation 05-23-2011 06:12 AM

They will do it so differently, it'll be them fighting over were to live or when she can go out in the field, and it will be THEM, as in the way BB love and then there will be a baby:sigh:

hann 05-23-2011 07:18 AM

I think that's why I like the way they did it so much. Because it will still be THEM, but just with an added dynamtic between them. Not even anything different, just added.

I can't wait to see how they are going to deal with her in the field, because you know she'll say she's fine and he'll be all alpha-male protective and want her to stay in the lab. I have a feeling that therapy sessions will start up again (YAY! LOVE THOSE!) And there will be just...added things to make it thier romance. I love that about the way they did it. It'll fit so perfectly.

AND A BABY! :sigh:  I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE A BABY!
