Yes it was. The ending was heartbreaking. I remember the whole day before that episode I was so anxious.

You so wanted for Brennan to agree with him. But she wasn't there yet... He blurred the line, but acknowledging their attraction, and she was too scared to agree with him. But it started to wake her up. But it wasn't until the hiatus, and being away from him and then the legitimate threat of Hannah to really wake her up to what she lost, and could potentially lose out on.
She got lucky she got that new chance... The show did a excellent job revisiting that time prior to the PILOT. Everything was legitimate to that time. Including Hodgins anger elastic band... A great 100th episode. __________________

Yes absolutely. We really wanted Brennan to say yes to Booth but she wasn't ready yet. She was afraid she'd hurt Booth. It Brennan a little longer to realize it.

Brennan just wasn't ready yet. She needed time to figure it out and get over her fears.

And given how deep her baggage truly was. It wasn't a surprise. I am surprised that Sweets ripped the band aid and prodded Booth too. Of course he had found out his book was all on a different set of circumstances than was in reality.
But Booth needed that epiphany. And in a way it actually got them together in the end. He was ready. She wasn't, so they went off and he actually found someone that was a true threat for her to actually witness what it looked like for Booth to move on. And then she was ready, and they started the process to come together... __________________

I wasn't surprised Booth was ready first, Brennan had so much baggage and trust issues from her childhood.

I'm not either. Booth had some baggage from his childhood but not as much as Brennan. It's not surprising that Booth was ready first. You could tell it would take Brennan longer to get there.

Right, Booth had baggage, but not nearly as much as Brennan so it was easier for him to let go so to speak.

That's definitely true. Which is why Sweets was wrong it had to be Brennan who was ready to make the first move.

Booth definitely had baggage. But his was always more manageable than hers. He always did want to settle down, but he always picked a woman who didn't, or wasn't ready and Brennan fit that model. But they had a love that was able to transcend that, and was able to come to the table, when both was ready...
Which is why those other relationships failed. Except for Rebecca that gave him a lasting gift, but still why they didn't work out. Brennan was coming from "hell no to kids, or marriage". Booth just wanted to settle down, have more kids. So he had the shortest to come from... Which is why Sweets was a little foolish to poke the bear and rip off the band aid. Even though it ultimately got them it where they were together... Going away gave Brennan the epiphany she needed, so in a way Sweets help by bringing everything into the open. But it sure got messy in the mean time. __________________

Brennan definitely needed to realize on her own that she could love Booth the way he deserved. She did love him but she wasn't sure if that would be enough.
