D'awww cute, thanks for posting that. I love Cate, so I can't wait for this. This cast is f'ing astounding. If Malick cuts anyone from this, I will hunt him down, lol.

I'm curious if Ryan and Natalie already have or will have any scenes together. Curious to see that after that interview years and years ago where Ryan said that he really wanted to work with her. I have a feeling that they've known each other for a long time.

They were in the same area/location the other day (though no shots of them together), so it wouldn't be surprising if they at least filmed together.

I didn’t really register who that was. Then she goes, “And it’s starring Ryan Gosling, Natalie Portman, Cate Blanchett.” I was like, “Oh that’s awesome! Cool! Thanks!” Got off the phone and, “Oh my God! What just happened!?”

That’s so exciting!

Yeah! Usually they rent the pieces. They ended up buying them because I think they wanted to maybe age them because [they were] black and white drawings. She was like, “I think they might be too white for this. We might have our scenic artist mess with them a little bit, so we just want to buy them.” I was like, “Yeah! That sounds great!” So we’ll see. I’m pretty excited though.

What were the paintings or drawings?

They were these black and white, kind of portrait pieces that I did. I did them last year for my show. There were four of them, and they all kind of went together, so they just took all four. I got really nice scans of them, so I’m going to turn them into prints. Maybe I can sell those during EAST.

That would be awesome! You should advertise that these are going to be in this Ryan Gosling movie.

Right! I know! So yeah, I’ll have to figure that out, but I’m excited.
