I don't think I have seen Beyond Borders. What is it about?

Third world contries, poverty, based on a true story, or true accounts anyway. How much it takes to get food or simple vaccines to these poor children. It's a heartbreaking story.

I loved the basica idea of a movie looking at some of the subject matter BB did, but they made it too soapy for me.

Yeah Beyond Borders had a good story line, but I think they added the Soap Operish storyline to catch a few more viewers you know.

But I love the sound of the new one, it's similar in idea but deals with a lot of realism...

Could Canadian co-stars Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling be any hotter? We're just wondering. After McAdams morphed from a mini-skirt-and-tank-top Mean Girl to a well-heeled damsel in distress in The Notebook, her box-office bankability (and hip factor) skyrocketed. And her on-screen Prince Charming? From his days alongside J. Timberlake and company in The Mickey Mouse Club (a resume bullet point about which he is endearingly unapologetic) to his critically acclaimed performance in Murder By Numbers (it tanked, he didn't), Gosling, too, is pegged as more than a passing fancy on the Hollywood radar screen. Translation? We don't see roles such as Shirtless Gardener or Pool Boy in these tea leaves, if you catch our drift. And while we dig McAdams' chilled-out-siren getup, we love that Gosling showed up at the MTV Movie Awards in a human-rights message T shirt. Just like Bono said: The world needs more Canadians. In the short film version that it's based on, the student is a teenage black girl and this Anthony Mackie dude is a black man (and too old looking to be a teenager anyway). Ryan's got to be the teacher, unless they're changing a lot of the fundamental stuff in the full length version.

So, he is the teacher. That is awesome, and it seems that the role is definitely something different for him, so i am looking forward to seeing it, even though, if he was playing a freaking girl , i would look forward too seeing him.. haha..
